Mixed review...

While I absolutely love Ross Greenwood's writing, this particular story was so confusing at times, I almost stopped listening. His research into horse racing/betting was amazing, but I found that he lost my interest on several occasions because of all the storyline changes. I personally don't want to work that hard to understand a book that is supposed to be relaxing to listen to...as always, the narration was perfect and the characters were great.

Another great listen.

I absolutely love David Thorpe narrations! Him combined w the characters provided by Ross Greenwood never fail.

Terrific plot, but a tad too complex

Great characters and another good book by Ross Greenwood. One note, this title was the first in the series I had to go back to be reminded which characters fit in where. Perhaps just my lack of familiarity with the British horse-racing world and the betting that goes along with it added to my confusion. Just a lot to try to fit together and a lot of characters to slot into place. So while this was a great plot, I have enjoyed the other books in the series more

I love this series

Death at Fakenham Races was a fun listen leading up to the Belmont stakes. Interesting background, and a clever mystery as well. The ongoing drama with the regular cast of characters was especially enjoyable in this edition.

Boring

I love this series and often re-listen but this one is a bit boring.
