OMG, this book confirmed many suspicions I have about being a Novelist, equipped me with ways to question my definition of being a Novelist, and also reaffirmed some of the choices that I have made for my Writing career that have gone against the grain, but produced the right results for me. Another very cool thing about this book is that it’s not just for writers. However, if you are a writer, wondering if it’s worth it, if you’re working too hard, but the results don’t match, or feeling burned out or unnoticed, this is a must read book!

Tough love and realistic expectations. This book does a great job getting into the minds of writers. We have which imaginations and sometimes to our own detriment. It reinforced the basis of Write Better Faster, Becca’s awesome class. Exactly what I needed at exactly the right moment.

It refreshing to listen to a book for writers that doesn't give absolutes about How to Be Writer like so many do. Quite the opposite!

The author as a narrator did a great job. Her personality came through and made this an even more enjoyable listen!
