Publisher's Summary

Indulge in this duet narration performed deliciously by Shane East and Andi Arndt!

Let me just say - none of this was supposed to happen.
I didn't expect the letter to go viral. I didn't think anyone would figure out who Dear Sexy Ex was. And I especially never thought he would find out about it.
Yeah, bit of a miscalculation there.
But see, I need the money to fund my brand new venture. And Dear Sexy Ex, well, it turns out he needs me to save his business.
By becoming his fake fiancée.
Yup, that's the pickle I find myself in - pretending to be madly in love with the charming, brilliant, and utterly infuriating man known as Dear Sexy Ex.
Only, it's not an act. And he can never know....

The audiobook includes special appearances from Joe Arden and Kit Swann!

It's no surprised that I loved this book because I always know going into a Lauren Blakely book that I will swoon, giggle and fall in love. Oliver & Summer were such a fun couple. I have a weakness for friends to lovers romance, I really enjoy that the characters have so much history and already know so much about each other. Not only do we get a great story but we also get another British hero...Something else to swoon over for sure. I also really loved the side characters, especially finally meeting Fitz who we will be getting to know later this summer. This book has a lot of really great scenes that involve a lot of friends and I love getting to know the male characters are when they are with friends, it makes it easier to get to know what kind man he is... and Oliver is the perfect men ;)

The narration is perfect, I mean Shane East & Andi Arndt were amazing together! Also Joe Arden and Kit Swann did a great job. As always the casting for this book was perfect.

Also the extra's at the end of the Audiobook are great. We get a fun interview with Andi & Shane and a clip from A Guy Walks Into A Bar. Lauren loves to tease me and leave me wanting the next book yesterday.

Andi and Shane were made for this!

My heart is so happy right now! This friends-to-lovers story is so sweet, and hot, and beautiful.

Oliver and Summer have been best friends since high school. They’ve been there for one another for everything, good and bad. When Oliver needs Summer to pretend to be his fiancée, she willingly agrees. Maybe being in such close proximity isn’t as easy as they thought. And maybe they don’t know as much as they thought about each other. I loved that even though they’ve been friends for so many years, this ruse has enabled them to discover more, and those new finds introduce feelings...something that wasn’t supposed to happen.

Shane and Andi do such a wonderful job bringing this Lauren Blakely book to life! I love the banter between Oliver and Summer. In addition to being best friends and buddies, there’s an innocent flirty chemistry between the two. Each finds the other attractive, but they aren’t willing to mess up their friendship by acting on their attraction. Friendship is more important. Which is what makes their getting together that much better. When they discover the heat between them, fighting it is futile.

The supporting cast is wonderful, as always. There are a few surprises, and I won’t spoil them for you. But they are heart-stopping and delightful.

This is the first book in The Guys Who Got Away series, and I can’t wait for Logan’s story, and the much-anticipated story from Fitzgerald, hot hockey player not looking for love.

Another amazing narriation and story!

Dear Sexy Ex Boyfriend is the first book in a new series, The Guys Who Got Away, by the talented and fabulous Lauren Blakely. Nothing makes me happier than when one of my favorite authors starts a new series and when it's Lauren? Double the excitement! This is a fun loving, sexy, fake fiancée romance. I love a good fake relationship story especially when they start out as best friends. Oliver and Summer have known each other since they were kids. They've always been best friends but they never crossed the line into more. Even if they wanted to. Their friendship means more than anything. Until Summer writes a story that goes viral and shows Oliver in a not so good light. It was a joke, no one was ever supposed to know it was him. Now, they have to fake an engagement to save his business. It's not going to be hard to fake the closeness. The friendliness. But what about the kisses? The secret looks? Are these really fake? I loved this story! Oliver is sexy with his British accent, handsomeness and intelligence. Summer is beautiful, dedicated and a true friend. I loved watching these best friends pretend and then fall. Hard and Fast. Already looking forward to more in the series!

Audio: Shane East and Andi Arndt narrate this sexiness duet style with Joe Arden and Kit Swann making appearances. I love duet style and I absolutely adore Shane and Andi. They brought Lauren's words to life perfectly, as always.

A great listen, as expected!

Great read, as usual - what else do you expect from Lauren Blakely?

As usually, Lauren Blakely not only gives us two stellar leading characters that you absolutely adore and root for, but she gives us a supporting cast that makes you wish they were really, and they were your friends. Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is the start of a new series, and it's a trope-a-pulozza - there's some friends-to-lovers, some brother's best friend, some fake relationship, and all around fun, joy, heart and heat.

Oliver and Summer have been friends since high school, and they go together like peas and carrots. They know each other so well, that just about the only thing they don't know is each other in the physically-intimate sense. When Summer's writing lands her in hot water, Ollie comes to the rescue to help them get out of their sticky situation.

This novel definitely lives up to the exceedingly high Lauren Blakely standards. Witty banter and wicked humor, an evident deep and lasting bond between the main characters, amazing friendships that feel real - it has it all. And you're hard pressed to find an author that writes more authentic-feeling friends-to-lovers novels.

Shane East and Andi Arndt are fantastic narrators, and one of the best pairs in the genre. You know they'll bring emotion, passion, humor and a real connection when they narrate together.

Lauren Blakely does it again

This wonderful childhood friends to lovers is great especially with Andi Arndt and Shane East narrating plus Joe Arden and Kit Swann in supporting roles. It's funny and heartfelt at the same time. The extras at the end are worth listening to also. I can't wait for the next couple of books.

Love Shane East and Andi Arndt’s performance and bonus part

I am a sucker for Shane East as the British narrator...can’t help it...this story was sweet and funny. I really appreciate both Andi and Shane adding the bonus interview about the characters and wish narrators would do this more often. It was so much fun to get to hear what they think narrating these characters. Love the bloopers and it totally seems like so much fun they both had narrating together...

Ultra Witty and Cheeky!

Summer and Oliver are charming!
They love to keep the other person on their toes but can always make it feel natural.
Great behinds are what we can never get enough of and Oliver makes it certain to let us remember that!
Full of humor, laughs, drama, and passionate love making all while connecting the other books from the series perfectly.
A book you do not want to miss!

Such a treat!

This week I had an Audible credit burning a hole in my pocket, and I was so excited to see that Lauren Blakely's newest romantic comedy Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend was a dual POV done duet style by fan favorites Andi Arndt and Shane East. East's British accent makes me positively swoon so I was so excited to download the book and take off on my nightly walk. Blakely is one of my favorite one-click authors because she never fails to deliver top-notch romance with clever characters and unique storylines. Summer and Oliver witty and flirty and I adored their friendship and closeness. I love how Blakely revisits characters and settings from the previous books in the world she has created (Gin Joint!)- those little Easter eggs always make me smile. If you listen to the audibook, make sure you listen past the end of the book- Arndt and East treat us to some bloopers and we get to sit in on a great little chat between the two pro narrators. Such a treat!

I absolutely loved it!

Got to say, I love a good fake relationship romance, they're one of my favourite tropes, along with best friends to lovers, and best friend’s little sister. Lauren Blakely gives us all these tropes in one sweet, funny and sexy romance, and as usual, she does it in her own fun and flirty style. A bit of backwards and forwards in time, not too much, just enough for us to see how the ‘friendship’ between Oliver and Summer progressed through the years, and so that we get a sense of how they’re always ‘there’ for each other. Of course things go one step further when Summer writes THE letter. They manage to fake kiss their way through social engagements (just), but of course it ends up going further, all because Oliver’s egotistical need to prove a point. Yes, we all know which way this is going to go, and yes it does, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The audio version is narrated by the Brit with the super swoon worthy voice, Shane East, who as usual nails it, along with the perfection that is Andi Arndt. Some wonderful little cameos from Joe Arden and Kit Swann make this whole package just perfect. I loved it.
