Publisher's summary

Looking for a missing girl, she finds something even darker...as New York Times bestselling author T.R. Ragan’s gripping series continues.

When you search for the missing, there’s no telling what you’ll find. PI Jessie Cole learned that painful truth firsthand when her sister disappeared. Now a new case will test Jessie and Ben once again.

Owen Shepard, the public face of one of the country’s biggest health insurance companies, has become the target of a vengeful father. The man blames Shepard for his child’s death and plans to make the CEO know what it’s like to live with a broken heart - and watch others die. After killing two employees, the desperate father kidnaps Shepard’s daughter. Tasked with finding her, Jessie and crime reporter Ben Morrison are running out of time to save her.

Meanwhile, Ben is still seeking insight into the man he used to be before a car crash erased his memories. And each discovery is leading Jessie and him down a frightening road. What they find could scar both of them forever.

Good & fun exciting book...

T R Ragan has proven that she's not going anywhere. She continues to write books that get better and better with each new one being released.
This book has so much going on. There's the plot that's described in the publisher's summary, that of an angry man who has lost his daughter due to an insurance company not willing to pay for medical treatment. The second is of a woman searching for her daughter. She was taken from the hospital as an infant seven years ago.
The two minor plots are also very interesting. The first, described in the summary is Ben's story. The second involves Jessie's assistant Z. When she's sent out to observe a woman suspected of trying to defraud an insurance company for disability, Z ends up finding something else unexpected and shocking nearby. And that puts her life in danger.
Three of the four storylines are resolved. The fourth remains a cliffhanger.
Kate Rudd does an excellent job narrating.

Another winner from T. R. Ragan

Deadly Recall is the eleventh suspense thriller from T. R. Ragan; all 11 are big time winners. First there was the Lizzy Gardner series (my personal favorite), then the Faith McMann series, and now the PI Jessie Cole series; Deadly Recall is Book 2 in the Jessie Cole series. I see no reason to add to the excellent publisher's summary. To fully understand Deadly Recall it is necessary to listen to Her Last Day first. Kate Rudd does a great job of narrating all eleven of T. R. Ragan's books.

Purchase the Deadly Recall audio novel at using Whispersync for Voice to get the best price. At Audible the price is $14.95 or one credit. Using Whispersync for Voice without Kindle Unlimited the price is $7.98 (includes Kindle and Audible versions) while with Kindle Unlimited the cost of the audio novel is $1.99 (you also get to borrow the Kindle version).

Caution

So-so story and narrator. If reading graphic descriptions of animal cruelty is your Achilles heel, definitely skip this one.

Good story. Interesting.

I like the books by T.R. Ragan. The characters have depth, and are complex. Ms. Rudd is an excellent narrator. Her switch in voice from character to character is very seamless. I enjoyed this book, but now I have to listen to the next one.

another hit

I am in love with the on going relationships Jessie is having with Ben, Z , Olivia & Colin. Then throw in a little kidnapping, murder & PI work and you have a fantastic story. I can't wait to read the next installment.

another fantastic story in this series

Someone is out for revenge against an insurance provider...his daughter died after the provider refused coverage of treatment of the experimental drug. Now MAH is kidnapping and killing employees of the insurance company until they agree to cover experimental treatments. The head of the insurance company hires PI Jessie Cole to find the killer. Jessie has her hands full because she is also investigating the kidnapping of a baby from a hospital 7 years ago, as well as helping crime reporter, Ben Morrison, on his quest to discover his past. Ben has been having flashbacks from his past and he's not liking what he's seeing. Will this family man be able to keep his family intact if the evolving mystery is revealed? So much is going on in this story that it goes in the 'don't stop till it's over' category! You will want to move on to book 3 to find out what's happening with Ben, as well as catch up with Jessie.

More of the same from Ragan/Rudd

The team of Ragan and Rudd is a classic. Their styles just fit so well together. It feels like Kate Rudd understands exactly what the author was trying to say in every aspect of the books she reads, and it makes for a great experience. Jessie Cole is a great character, and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine among the T.R Ragan books. On to the next one!

Too much

There is too much going on and none of the story lines are believable. The narration is just plain awful. The narrators attempt at male voices is cringe worthy.

A must read 2nd instalment!

I was really looking forward to this second book in the Jessie Cole series and it didn’t disappoint! The characters continue to evolve, some more surprisingly than others and the multiple storylines make for a book that never has chance to be boring….. On to number 3…..

Deadly Recall

A fairly complicated set of ‘plots’ but overall a rather simplistic reading. Not to my taste.
