Publisher's summary

Camille Ellis is the Earthen Conclave's golden girl. Her peculiar talent solves cases with a touch. She isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty, but every bright star casts a shadow, and her deepest scars lurk just beneath the skin.

A routine consultation goes sideways when a victim's brother gets involved in the investigation. Riding the edge of grief, the warg will go to any lengths to avenge his sister's death. Even if it means ensuring Cam's cooperation at the jaws of his wolf.

When the killer strikes again, Cam is caught between a warg and a hard place. To save the next victim, she must embrace her past. Even if it means dragging her darkest secrets into the light of day.

has potential

has potential, but a lot is convoluted in the mc's character. Especially her actions towards the end of the book.

Fascinating beginning to the Gemini series. I love the characters and mysterious vibe.

This book is the first book in the Gemini series. I devoured it. It was very intriguing and I love the two tortured main characters. I look forward to following the journey as the series continues to move forward.

Cliffhanger

Since this book and the whole series so far was included for free, it didn’t make me nuts when I realized this, but frankly, the book could have been shorter.

That said, the author is very talented keeping you engaged after the first bit. The beginning of the book literally throws you in the deep end of a crime spree that has been under investigation by our female lead. Enter a bunch of other characters and you have a large cast of supernaturals living in a world to themselves. While the suspense is drawn out, the author does a great job of using the time to explain all the things we “missed” when we tuned in. By the end of this book, we’ve also met out male lead and we are deep into conspiracies and romantic entanglements. and now for book 2
