Getting better
I've been a huge fan of The Anita Blake Series from the start and was kind of upset that it descended into smut territory. Not that smut is bad, just that it didn't used to be the main focus. The series finally send to be coming back to more story than sex! if you're a fan of the series, I recommend a listen.

A page turner with vampires and other creatures of the night
An addictive story about a Marshall who happens to be a vampire among other amazing things. Definitely R rated as there is a lot of sex with multiple partners. Definitely hard to stop listening to as she pulls you into the story from the first chapter. I highly recommend it and hope fiat there is a sequel in the near future..

another amazing story in the Anita Blake series
I have been behind in reading this series and the indepth descriptions on past events helps to bring the whole story together. Although I do feel like as in the past there is such a huge build up in the story and then everything at the end is rushed to wrap up into a nice bow of an ending. I love her writing but the endings usually feel rushed and sometimes abrupt.
Asher hasn't made an appearance in awhile and I still wonder why they haven't tried the new wound theory on his acid burns. Is this because Asher is too scared to loose that excuse for his issues if it works and he is appearance is flawless again? He can't hold it over Jean-Claude's head if he is healed. That is just one thing that has bugged me since it was mentioned in a previous book and has has me curious why it hasn't been tried.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
