When that alibi is served up as a fake, Summer moves to the top of the suspects list, but is soon joined by Monty's ne'er-do-well son, Sawyer, who has racked up gambling debts he hoped his dad would pay off. Monty's twin brother is engaging in shady financial deals. An affair, a Ponzi scheme, a disputed inheritance...there are as many motives as suspects, and soon Mattie and Hurley have turned up other, possibly related deaths.

I LOVE THIS SERIES.

The first thing you need to know is you have to listen to these books in order. I promise you that you will be hooked. By listening to them in order, you better understand all of the nuances.

I love all the characters and I have thoroughly enjoyed each story. I am a big fan of how Ryan made Maddie a 6 ft tall, large footed, big boned woman. Maddie is the first main character who is 100% relatable. She is not a the textbook fit and beautiful type that you see most of the time. Maddie is your co-worker, your sister, your best friend. She is everyone. And I love that. And I love that she is not portrayed as this insecure nit-wit. She has her moments, but we all do. She is just not a mess all the time. She is smart and capable and she used her brain to get her out of tough spots. Adore her. I cannot wait for more books. I hope Ryan has not forgotten about Maddie and the team. This is a out of the ballpark series.

I'm gonna miss this series

I stumbled across Annellise Ryan's Mattie Winston series and was hooked right away. The books were well written, but it seemed as though they were written specifically to be read by Jorjeana Marie, the narrator. I can't decide whether my next listen should be another book/series by Annelise Ryan or one performed by Jorjeana Marie. I'm sure I'll listen to this series again in the future.

Lived this series

This was such a fun series to read. Story was great. Reader performance was great! Loved her voices!!

Great book

Like all the other books in this series this book is a fun story to listen to and enjoy. If I was reading it I would say it is a big time page turner. ENJOY

Dead Even is another well written and entertaining cozy mystery in an excellent and well written series. I highly recommend the entire book to anyone who likes well written characters and light cozy mysteries.
