In Day of Deceit, Robert Stinnett delivers the definitive final chapter on America's greatest secret and our worst military disaster.

Drawing on twenty years of research and access to scores of previously classified documents, Stinnett proves that Pearl Harbor was not an accident, a mere failure of American intelligence, or a brilliant Japanese military coup. By showing that ample warning of the attack was on FDR's desk and, furthermore, that a plan to push Japan into war was initiated at the highest levels of the U.S. government, he ends up profoundly altering our understanding of one of the most significant events in American history.©1999 Robert B. this is a book that showed me and opened my eyes to the lies and decits that happened around that fateful day.

very very eye opening

Meticulously researched for a clear conclusion about the coordinated corruption of our government... disappointing that author still lauded FDR and company. That's ok though, we have the facts despite great efforts to hide them.

Precise, compelling

The details were astounding. If you get the book, you will see all the data the author discovered, that was available. Don’t stop here, continue your research!

Detailed!

I know Pearl Harbor is a touchy subject for many but this audio give one something to consider when looking back at historic events. To think that governments won't distroy their own citizens or citizens of other nations to achieve an outcome or further their own ambitions is a fools game. We get only once to go around in this human life, it is so much better to question everything, least we wake up and find that we have been thrust back into the dark ages. There is not excuse for not seeking truth in an information and especially a technological age. If we continue to not get it right we will suceed in destroying ourselves and we will accomplish that by repeating Earth's history to our regret.

Another View Of An Historic Event To Consider

I would encourage you to listen and judge for yourself whether or not there is something here. In my opinion, there absolutely is something here. Take FDR's word for it, "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

I won't go into any details about the book. If you love history and want to be told ALL the information so that you can judge, then you will love this. I listened to it in two days and would have listened in one day if I had been able to find that much free time.

It's a great piece of history, told very well by the author and narrated superbly.

Great book, too bad it took so long for America to know the truth! How could a president do that to his country on purpose!

Wow

Very sad the lies we’ve been told for decades about the “sneak attack” on Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt and so many others allowed the death and destruction of so much just to get the American people to change their minds about going to war.

Poor Admiral Kimmel was set up

Well researched, logically laid out & in clear language to de-mystify the military jargon..... a great book!

Insightful work!

The United States pretty clearly manufactured the conditions that forced Japan's hand. Very tragic. I'm glad that we became friends after this. Japan is a great country full of wonderful people and I love them dearly.

I pray for Japan and the Japanese people.
