Very weak story & boring narration

As a fan of Fern Britton, I had high hopes for this book but really struggled to finish this. Such a predictable, weak story with very little substance. Not sure if the style of her narration made it this boring. I normally love listening to Fern Britton talking but imo, her narration of this book was almost childlike. Will not be buying another of her books.

Good story, but rather unsatisfactory ending

Fern Britton never disappoints - her stories are full of strong female characters with good story lines. But this one almost felt unfinished! It is supposed to be about three strong generations of women in the same family, but two of the stories - of Clara and her daughter Hannah - are much more developed than that of the third generation, Caroline.

I enjoyed it, but felt rather frustrated by the sudden ending.

Really disappointed

previously enjoyed Fern Brittons contemporary novels, really disappointed in this, clunky way of spanning time, some sections particularly weak, surprised to not enjoy her narration

Encapsulating - brilliant

Absolutely read to perfection in a manner that gave justice to the well written story.

Took me through so many emotions of own genealogy, family secrets from 4 generations of women oh how close! lovely wholesome story really pulled to the imagination.

I really could not stop listening and started 2nd time already!

One of the best audibles - thank you
