Awesome sequel..

The second story in the divine collection
is just as entertaining as the first. This one focuses a little more on the romance. When Kate tries to plan dates with her God, her mother who doesn't approve makes it a little difficult. I really enjoyed this listen, but highly recommend starting with Death by Chocolate first. The narrator did as wonderful a job narrating this one as she did the first book. I was given this free audio book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Great Novella

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book is a novella and is only 1 hour and 20 mins long so it is great to listen to while cleaning. It was written by Suz Korb and narrated by Kate Tyler. Even though the book is short the story isn’t lacking. The narrator did a great job. I am looking forward to more books by this author and narrator.

Gods and Demi-Gods back in Limbo Land

This is the second book in this series and I’m just as tongue-tied when it comes to describing this book.

I am not big on mythology. I remember studying it in the 9th grade and not being very impressed. Ms. Korb makes me wish I had paid more attention.

So who would enjoy this listen?

You don’t have to know about the deities to be pulled into the bizarre story. Killer bees? Yep. Tsunamis? You bet. More time in Limbo Land? Absolutely!

The occasional cringe-worthy line? When Kate says, “…my inner Goddess rising…” My noted comment was ‘seriously?’ Well, of course not. When Kate describes Jason as a ‘blond God’ that she’s ‘crushing on BIG TIME’, I rolled my eyes. Then I remembered, this is fantasy. This is larger-than-life.

And, for the record, I googled Clotho and I have to say the images on the search do not match what I had in my head.

Kate Tyler did another solid job in narrating this book. She suits Kate and handles the rest of the Gods quite competently.

This second story was just as bizarre and oddly quirky as the first.

Enjoy!

Great quick read

Dating a God by Suz Korb was a good quick read. This is the second story in the Divine Collection. Kate's mother doesn't want her to, but she is determined to date a god. This was a fun read, I can't wait to read more by Suz Korb.

Such a great imagination

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This was a great story in the Divine Collection. The author's imagination is wonderful. Loved this book with it's young love. It was short, but it covered the story well. The narrator did an excellent job. Great feel good book.

Too YA for me

The entirety of this short story was so that the main character could get kissed by her wannabe boyfriend who happens to be a god. Perhaps it was just me, but the word 'god' was said so often and the narrator emphasized it so much, that by the end of the book I was rolling my eyes every time I heard it. The short 80-minute listen had quite a lot of action but not much in terms of character development. (Perhaps you have to have read the first book for all of that?)

Great Short Story

This is a great short story that I wish was longer. I hope the author considers making this a full length novel because it has so much potential. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. I was captivated from start to finish.

Enjoyable Divine Comedy

I really enjoy this series at this point, which I received in exchange for an honest review. It's very light and amusing, and definitely still feels like a nice escape--good, light reads that work well for summer or any time you need to get lost in another world. I felt like the series is picking up speed in the second installment.
