Great help

Of course, there are more efficient tools to work like Data Safing and Word Counting, but his book is the concept of most data mining concepts. I plan to use this as a text supplement to supplement a data system course. Nice work!

Hhmm, good overall

Content in the first book is good and easy to follow through but second book not so much. General coverage of relevant topics is pretty good throughout but I thinks it's the narration that just doesn't work for me. I think a hard copy of even a kindle copy would be much better.

The authors clearly show that data is the next

The authors clearly show that data is the next wave of change and that it will require a mindset change across all business functions--a mindset they call data-analytic thinking. If you need to master/improve this thinking skill set--here is a great place to start no matter what your job title.

The book would be better understood by someone

The book would be better understood by someone with the background in Maths and statistics. As the industry develops with supersonic speed, the tools described in the book will probably become obsolete, I hope that the author will update it. Although the book does not teach any Data Science as such, it may help you make you decide if the field is for you.
