Actionable with business ideas!

This book is great. Very easy to understand the core concept of data analytic. This book shows the big picture of data power and its need for the current competitive market with a lot of real scenario examples. The best thing that I found in this book is solved problems. The problem can be solved by using analysis tools but we do not get what is going under the hood. It explains very clearly where, when and how to use different data analysis techniques and tools. I would say that this book is a gateway to the world of Data.

Practical marketing strategies!

It covered a lot of ground, mostly practical, a bit theoretical. Therefore, it couldn't go really deep on any one subject, but it provided an excellent overview. Nice for executives or practitioners.

Well explained

There were a couple of typos throughout the book. I wonder if one could use data science to find, revise and revisit those parts of the book? Overall, very well done and well explained. The stats chapter was succinct.

Really helpful for beginners

A great book to start learning about big data analysis and machine learning. The book has a good structure, organization, and comprehensible language. It is a must have in case you'd like to know how things work under the hood. It describes in details neural nets, decision trees, associative rules and others. The cool thing, which I like most, is that this book could be really helpful for beginners. It's slightly over talkative, but for this particular book that's probably positive characteristics.

Practical concept

Really eye opening content, things are explained using simple words with real life example. It goes into both explaining theory concept and practical concept, doesn't bury gem with heavy jargon. I'm delighted to own this book, eyeing for big data, machine learning industry for next time.

Concise ideas of data analysis

Clear and concise introduction to ML. If you don’t have a background in data science, I wouldn’t let this stop you from picking up this book. My own expertise is in mobile web development, which is outside the scope of this book title, but I had no problems going through it.

Explains the pros and cons

The book it's a pretty good introduction to the machine learning field as the name suggests. It's enough to give you a quick grasp of some of the most used concepts in the ML/deep learning field. Nevertheless, the author also explains the pros and cons of both methodologies and when they are useful or a complete waste of time/money.

Highly educational

This book covers the basics through implementation of simple machine learning. It was entertaining and highly educational. I especially appreciated the effort made by the author to walk a newbie through installation of a new programming environment and then using it to produce something useful. After listening this book, I'm ready to start my first ML experiment.
