Perfect listen for DASH beginners!

My husband and I both suffer from health issues and were looking for an eating plan that isn’t a diet. We needed a lifestyle change. With two small children included at our dinner table we didn’t want to attempt that militant of an eating regimen like the ones that force you to count points. The DASH diet is perfect because it breaks the diet down into an easy to follow plan AND it is safe for children. It explains healthy eating in a very accessible way. I like the recipe section and the 30 day meal plan. I also have to say that the pictures in the recipe section had my mouth watering. I can’t wait to try all of the recipes in this book!

A great book for beginners!

Very informative

Very informative. Will try to use it as best I can. Salt content was a bit more than I thought it would be and recipes a bit more work than I wanted but will give it a try.

Must listen!!!

This book is a step-by-step guide outlining the DASH Diet – a low-sodium diet program originally designed to reduce and control hypertension. Each chapter covers specific subjects related to the diet, including a brief scientific synopsis, various program related goals (such as reducing hypertension, weight loss, and optimal health), and a sample one month diet plan containing several different recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. Must listen!!!

Well written and packed full of material

There are a lot of diet books on the market and most of them don't offer much in the way of researched or valuable information. Not so with Dash Diet for Beginners, published by Maria Crawford. This book is well written and packed full of material that can actually be used to achieve your goal of losing weight and staying healthy. I was extremely impressed by the layout of the book, which takes care to highlight important information. The information in this book is well researched and back by facts, not just a bunch of useless material compiled to make a buck. There are plenty of tips and guidance contained in Dash Diet for Beginners and enough information to help you obtain your goals.

very straightforward structure

It’s very thorough and explains how to ease one into a new way of eating healthy with great direction. The book shows the scientific research behind its suggestions and breaks down each chapter into easy-to-find categories: understanding the DASH diet, the DASH diet health plans, the DASH diet transition, the DASH diet in action, and the DASH recipes. All in all, The DASH Diet for Beginners was an easy read with a very straightforward structure that anyone could follow.

Good book in more ways than one!

As a slightly overweight guy, I was really excited when this book came out. This book presents a realistic approach to dieting with quick results. The recipes are delicious, easy to make, and above all, healthy! The book also has a lot of useful information and even shows you step by step how to use a BMI chart properly for maximum results. All pros and cons considered, it is moderately easy to follow compared to most other diets I have tried.
