Long ago, the refugees escaping a ruined Earth created a democratic colony on an island of the water planet, Algaron. But now, the current authoritarian regime demands total, unquestioning allegiance from all citizens. Darya is a year away from choosing citizenship or being exiled, yet she’s already incurred the wrath of the Colony Administration.
