TOTALLY ADDICTING SERIES

Darkness is definitely in the top 5 of the best stories from the New Species series! I'd been waiting for Darkness ever since he was introduced several books ago. He wasn't even a prominent character in the preceding books, but, just the cameos of him left an impression. His sarcastic broody nature throughout the book, made me laugh out loud sometimes; and Kat was just the type of woman to take him on. They're officially one of my favorite 'book couples'. The storyline was intriguing and kept my interest throughout. Overall, Laurann Dohner does an excellent job of writing hilarious and sexy dialogue, that seems to be the staple with New Species. Great narration, even though there's not much variation, New Species series is a stand out for me. I highly recommend this book and series!

Fun series

Any additional comments?

I love this series. Darkness will tie with Valient for #3 best. Justice #1, Fury #2. (But read them in order!) There were a few books that were not good (Obsidian and Shadow) and a few that were weak (Brawn and Moon) but they all ended strong. The way Laurann writes the male part is what keeps me reading and rereading. Darkness returns to a stronger heroine and tortured hero. Reader calmed down her valley girl impression of some of the books. Enjoy!

Steamy Hot Story!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was well thought out and entertaining and the narrator did an excellent job.

Stubborn Darkness

This again was another great book but I wanted to slap them both! Stubborn and always coming to the wrong conclusions. Darkness took really long to come to terms but it was very interesting

This series never disappoints. The picture drawn centered around the NSO is so vividly detailed that it feels real. Amazing

Loved this story. This is a unique take on a fantasy romance with a bit of suspense thrown in.

Darkness was hard to love, but if I had to name one characteristic it would be his protectiveness of Kat.

What other book might you compare Darkness to and why?

I love this series .... I like how the series continues with each New Species person getting his own story.

Have you listened to any of Vanessa Chambers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I think she does a great job with the New Species books. Her narration is not nasal, easy to listen to and she adopts the persona of her characters. It is reflected well in her narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not an extreme reaction, but I do enjoy this series!! I recommend them all!

A bit weird

I'm done with Strong Women deciding to abandoning their nature/careers to become domesticate. The narrator is excellent. this is my 2nd one I've read in the series. Get Smiley it was excellent.

great read

Loved the story line. Couldn't turn it off. Fun. Always wanted to hear Darkness's story. His mate was the right personality for him.

hunk of fun

this series is just so much fun even though you know it's a beautiful ending it keeps you intrigued and you just don't want to let go. whenever it ends it's just too soon. you just keep waiting for more. I love the way the author gives you an introduction to the next story. even then they give you just enough to make you have too have more.
