Good Introduction into Dark Psychology

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I found the audible version of this book a good introduction to dark psychology. It gives the some useful things to look for and strategies to deal with those tactics. I found the narrator to be clear and easy to follow.

okay but general

This one's a tough audiobook for me to review. The narration is good, no complaints there. It's the book itself that I'm less enthusiastic about. I think I was looking for something a little bit different. The topic is very interesting (I teach my college students about the dark triad in my Leadership course - they're fascinated by this subject because we're able to identify business and political leaders with these characteristics) but I think I would have enjoyed an audiobook with content that was supported by empirical research, or written by someone with credentials or experience in the field of psychology or counselling. Or something that was published by a reputable or recognizable publisher. Also, I spotted literally dozens of similar audiobooks with similar-sounding titles and similar durations (and some very suspicious author names, I might add) here on this site - I won't speculate on this except to say that if you're going to compete with all of these substitute products, you have to offer something unique. I'm sorry, I guess I was expecting something with a little more intellectual or analytical substance.
