Publisher's summary

Three days until the lunar eclipse. Three days to save humanity. Three days to the war for freedom.

An eclipse is supposed to be a wondrous event. Not the end of freedom for humanity. For Maggie, they’re one and the same. In only a few days, the collectives will coalesce, and the forced assimilation of humanity will begin. Maggie and the team need to find a way to stop it, but they don’t know where to start.

While Maggie fights for knowledge, the rest of the team faces challenges of their own. Loyalties will be tested, obscure memories will break through, and betrayal may kill the only chance they have to remain free.

Come along for the third installment of this epic, dystopian romance.

Stop the collectives, or stop making free decisions. Forever.

Plot got a bit weaker, performance better

Overall loved the series and loved the character development that kept going on during the 3rd book as well. I felt this book was a bit too long and slow compared to the first 2 but it tried to close the loop pretty well and did not leave too many unanswered questions.

Maggie's visions were easy for a reader to understand where they were coming from but no one in the team understood it. Similarly it was easy for a reader to see who the "brother" is but no one in the team sees that in the prophesy and those 2 things made me feel the plot was a bit weaker than the other 2 books.

Even with these things I was really engaged in the book and wanted to see how things would turn out and how against all odds the team would manage to handle it.

Absorbing Fantasy

This was the third book in the series, and I enjoyed it very much. The world building was detailed and intricate. The characters were very complicated and likeable. There was a lot going on. and things were very intense as three days to save the world wasn't a lot of time. I appreciated the underlying physics theme that was found in the first three books of the series. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Robin Wasser's narration was entertaining, and her performance enhanced the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Still Going Strong

Another great listen. More of the story is falling into place and I love it. I don’t like the nice characters dying, but that is part of life when you have evil people around. And absorbing powers, sounds so cool. The story is well written and the narrator did a great job. Can’t wait for the next one to find out more.

Interchron book three.

This is the third book in the Interchron series. As with the first two books, I loved the science part of the story. The characters still come across as a little flat. Listening to the audio version, I feel the narration takes away from the story instead of enhancing it. I still look forward to the conclusion of the series.

Great series! 4.5 stars.

This review is for the audiobook series. I really love the series and the characters which are fully developed and have their own voices. The author really makes you care about them and their plight. It's full of action which kept me listening long after bedtime. I highly recommend the books. While the narrator did a good job of making the voices clearly recognizable, I was often put off by the over-the-top performance. There were places this could have been taken down a notch or five. Would I still recommend it? Absolutely. 4.5 stars.

Dark Matter was a wild ride! I definitely did not see how it would play out and didn't realize that this would not be the last book in this series. In fact, Dark Matter feels more like a cliffhanger than either of the previous two books in this series. Like the first two books, Dark Matter is full of action, adventure, love, loss, twists and turns. Unexpected alliances, unexpected betrayals and everything in between. I didn't want to stop listening until the very end.

Not over yet

My interest is flagging. This book ends in a cliff-hanger. After a long and slow build up to the ultimate showdown between the individualists and the collectives at the lunar eclipse, it ends in a fizzer. The immediate threat is neutralised but there are even more loose ends. Alliances, betrayals, twists, turns, action and time travelling. Lots of dialogue and character development. A pure delight for lovers of dystopian adventure. These books need to be read in order, even so timelines and events can be confusing. Told from multiple POVs.

Dark Matter - an hypothetical form of matter whose presence in the universe is discerned from its gravitational attraction rather than its luminosity. It is opposed by the more dominant Dark Energy, the mysterious force that causes the rate of expansion of the universe to accelerate.

The narrator did an excellent job and the different characters were easy to distinguish.

I did in fact read and review the fourth book, Event Horizon, and the end is not in sight.

Descriptive, captivating story amplified by performance

Really enjoyed how the very descriptive words were amplified by the performance; these two elements created a movie in my mind. There were flash backs to fill in gaps without side-tracking the flow of the story. There were vehemently animated phases that startled or surprised me; the story was pulling & performance enticing me to repeat scenes & listen more - can’t wait for book #4!

A 4 1/2 star read/listen

Dark Matter, the third book in the Interchron series from author Liesel K. Hill. Picks up where book 2 left off! 18 hours 4-minutes/638 pages of great writing. Owning both the Kindle &Audible editions I was able to follow along while being read to, thus adding even more pleasure to the reading experience. Narrator Robin Wasser's narration adds to the book's enjoyment. Three pseudonyms, 3 different genres. All good. I’ll be reading more from this author no matter what pseudonym or genre she writes!(RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Wonderful continuation of the series!

This is book 3 in the series. It answers alot of the unanswered questions from the first two books and is definitely not a stand alone. Good dystopian feel to the story and the character development is good, but they still need to grow. I'd definitely recommend this series to anyone that enjoys dystopian works, but you need to read it in order.
