Publisher's summary

When the rescue team returns with Amanda and the chained Dalhu to the keep, Amanda is not as thrilled to be back as she thought she'd be. Between Kian's contempt for her and Dalhu's imprisonment, Amanda's budding relationship with Dalhu seems doomed.

Things start to look up when Annani offers her help, and together with Syssi they resolve to find a way for Amanda to be with Dalhu. But will she still want him when she realizes that he is responsible for her nephew's murder? Could she? Will she take the easy way out and choose Andrew instead?

Hooked!

Any additional comments?

In the last two months, I have read/listened to the entire series and have pre-ordered the next book! I haven’t picked up another series during this time. Normally I listen to one series and read another. I could not put these books down.

I have never read any series like this one. I absolutely love that throughout the books you still hear what is going on with the previous characters. Instead of each book having its own story, it is more like one long story where new people get introduced as events happen. For me, this is the right balance of paranormal content. Nothing to crazy but just outside the realm of possibility.

Oh, I almost forgot the 2nd Best thing about this series is there is a new book every few months. :) It is not like other series where you have to wait a year or more for the next. I personally have to re-read the old book before the new release (I go through WAY too many books to remember all the details of a story I read a year ago). With only a few months between, I still remember all the details and keep track of the next release date.

I.T Lucas - please continue to write these stories for as long as possible. I am in love with all the characters and don’t want to let them go.

Amanda and Dalhu continued

This is a paranormal romance series and the fifth in the Children of the Gods series, and second in the Dark Enemy trilogy. This book follows Dark Enemy Taken and continues the story of Amanda and Dalhu.

Dalhu has kidnapped Amanda right of streets on the spur of the moment. Though he is not quite sure who is the captive because she seems to have enslaved his soul. Amanda fights her feelings for Dalhu, who sleeps with and lusts after the enemy. The exchanges between these two are more than entertaining. Ms. Lucas takes us on a wild ride.

Excellent

Isabel is such a great author. She is so in tune with current events and so imaginatively weaves in mythology, history and current events into an amazing story.

Exciting journey!

Dalhu and Amanda continue pushing forward though the death of her cousin by Dalhu’s orders throws a kink in the relationship. Can she forgive him is the huge question. Other new characters are introduced and Andrew is becoming more important to the clan! Soooo good!

Good Listen, but to short

The story was going well them just abruptly ended. Seems there should have been more. I would have been disappointed had I actually purchased this book and read it. ...

Seriously?!? Someone actually published this?!?

Words cannot accurately convey the poor writing, atrocious editing and blatant character "borrowing" that comprises this series. At times, I forgot that I WASN'T reading Fifty Shades, or another book. I'm an avid UF/PR reader and have read a lot of great and not-so-good books in these genres. This is the first time in over 200 auidobooks that I'm requesting a refund.

The "books" are actually shorts stuffed with a bunch of useless, boring filler that makes the pace AGONIZING. Just when there's a glimmer of interesting storyline on the horizon, the installment ends, almost between sentences. I actually indulged the shameless ploy to sell more books so that I could at least get to the resolution of the storyline, until it became clear that the author really had no intention (or maybe know-how) of giving her readers such satisfaction.

The characters are one dimensional and the author spends WAYYYYYYY too much time on useless details, then completely fails to expand on interesting and important character/story events.

Obviously, I'm not a fan and would not recommend this series AT ALL.
