Kidnapped by five men....

I’ve been taken, snatched from my home, and held at gunpoint in a cellar.

Five men have me now, each of them dangerous in their own way. They want something from me, and it’s not just what’s in my head. I see the way they look at me, the glint in their eyes, their lingering touches. They’ll do anything to break me, and take what they want.

But will I let them?

If you love dark romance, and reverse harem books, get the entire Dark Codes series as one, great boxed set now! Hours of steamy reverse harem goodness. What are you waiting for?

Wow.. great book and listen

i really enjoy this book. It was worth the credit that i used for it. story line was well written. characters were very real, especially the FMC. If i was in here shoes and was going throgh all this bs that was, i think I would have had emotional outbrust as well. the guys... yes please. The only thing i think would of made this book better multiple POV.
narrations of the book was perfect. i can say anything negative abt it.
would i recommend this to anyone- absolutely 💯 % would in a heart beet.

Loved it but there was just one more thing...

I loved this story/boxset. I don't know if there's more to the story as I haven't looked yet. The boxset was a great reverse here's but actually more of a romantic suspense that spanned multiple books. I'd say it was wrapped up with a bow but I was left with a few questions and so I do hope there are more books? I would say that it's not really a cliffhanger at the end of the boxset but more that there's unanswered questions about the future.

*spoiler*
I would have loved for them to adopt some of the kids especially George. I would have loved for a wedding or commitment ceremony. I would have even loved a pregnancy. IDK, like I said wishful thinking or questions about future books???

Repetitive and annoying

Darcy's father was killed in front of her and somewhere within the recesses of her mind are the numbers behind his death. Betrayed by one of his own, now his daughter, Darcy is in danger. She is "kidnapped" for her safety and now finds herself with a group of men also wanting the code, and to protect her. Darcy no longer knows what to believe or who to trust. But over the next few weeks, the guys prove themselves to her and Darcy becomes part of their team working to stop Special Agent Hollan from destroying the ghost agency program.

This story had such a strong premise but failed in its delivery. At least for me. I have never been more irritated by a lead character than I was by Darcy. The guys were not well-trained and she was not an asset. The author did no research into ghost agencies or special ops training and the series suffered because of it. The story became repetitive and the relationships were never developed. It was a relief when it finally ended.

I was not a fan of Laurie West either. She managed to make an irritating female lead, even more annoying. The whining was too much.

Just meh

I’m thankful that I was able to get this for one credit. It was worth 1 credit but would not have been worth 4. I was not a huge fan of the MFC and had no real connection with any of the MCs

It was a DNF for me

Mc is too stupid. It’s like she was written to be incredibly dense. I was hoping for a strong fMc but she isn’t.
Oh well. The VA was great though!

Bad voice

The way she does the guys voice makes me not able to keep listening to the story. Really bad. Hers was a little annoying too.

just don't

Just don't. Just Don't. I will start this review off with a positive because... I'm a nice person. The book has good bones... good characters, a brave FMC, a male harem with distinct personalities and a great villain. But the flaws absolutely erase the positives
1- it is absolutely exhausting to listen and be inside the FMCs head for four books (25 hours).... it's torture. There is WAY too much internal dialogue in her head. It's redundant and unnecessary at times and doesn't move the story forward. If the author eliminated half of the FMCs head garbage, you could tell the whole story in two books.... not 4. Boring, exhausting and slows the story.
2- It was a mistake to have a female narrator do ALL the male voices. It was awful.... unbearable at times. HIRE A MALE NARRATOR
3- NOT ENOUGH SPICE! This is not a reverse harem romance.... it's an action thriller series with a few spicy scenes thrown in. Seriously, only one steamy scene per book.... PER BOOK! Now, those scenes, do deliver, but an avid dark romance reader will be disappointed.

I struggled to finish. I speed listened to the 4th book just to get the torture over with.

HARD PASS.
