I loved this story. I haven't listened to the other Dare books but after this one, I think I will go back and start from the beginning. Not because it's needed but because I'm interested.

Sophie Eastlake is a great narrator. The only reason I wasn't pleased with the narration is because Gabe had his own chapters and it would have been nice to have a male narrator involved in this story.

loved it

Love it, loved that after she left the asshole and was "rescued" by Gabe, she then left him, and stood on her own. She reclaimed her inner-self then dove heart first into Gabe.

Alpha male delight

Spoiler alert...

Hot, steamy and sweet at the core! My idea of a perfect book!!!

I was a little worried at the beginning of this story when she left one controlling man for another. Though Gabe clearly has Isabelle's best interest at heart with his controlling nature, it still seemed unhealthy. Isabelle needed to stand on her own for bit. I love that the author gave her that independence she needed. I also love that once Gabe let his guard down he wanted whatever was going to make his Kitten happy. I have loved the Dare to Love series and this spin off is just another series to love!!!

Dare to Surrender

I enjoyed this book enough to listen breaking only to get in and out at all my stops today. Sophie Eastlake's narration was so perfect this story won't soon be forgotten.

Gabe and Isabell's story

Carly Phillips is one masterful storyteller! Great character development! I was rooting for them the whole time I was listening to the audio! Love Gabe and Izz 💕💕💕

Was torn about this book

Would you listen to Dare to Surrender again? Why?

Yes, I'll listen to it again. In part because I listened to it while I was at work and may have missed something. Unfortunately, it takes a few minutes for me to realize that I'm focusing more on the computer I'm working on than the book I'm listening to!

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The pace of the narration was fine. It was the narrator's voice for Gabe that bothered me. I don't remember having issues with her male voices for the earlier stories, but it somewhat distracted me from the story.

Any additional comments?

I liked the first two books in the series a lot better. Gave each 5 stars. I just couldn't get into this one as well. With all three, I bought the Kindle and audio versions. To be fair, I listened to the audiobook for the most part, so maybe I missed something. I found some of Gabe's and Isabelle's behavior just a little too odd at times and the narrator had a strange way of doing Gabe's voice. This may be one I'll have to listen to again with my Kindle handy.

Cary Phillips + Sophie Eastlake = Sexy Listen

Say Isabelle Masters is having a bad day, is an understatement! She had just left her cheating, and emotional abusive boyfriend. She knew that no amount of money was worth staying in that kind of situation. On top of all of that, she ended up at the police station. Her scummy ex-boyfriend reported her Mercedes as stolen. Isabelle did have one thing going for her, she was arrested by Gabriel Dare's brother and he just happen to be at the station. She knew Gabe from attending society events with her ex. Gabe rushed to the rescue on his white horse, trying to help her. Immediately, Isabelle goes on alert. Is this knight in shining armor to good to be true? She's already been burned once by a guy that seemed to be a good one.

Isabelle was such an amazing character! I enjoyed that fact that she was written flawed. She came into the situation with Gabe with lots of baggage. She left one controlling relationship, and stepped right into a new relationship immediately. Those things let her question Gabe's motives. I appreciated that she was smart enough to take a step back to work on herself and her career. She was able to prove that she could make it in the world without a man. The entire experience made her a stronger women. It was such an empowering message!

Sophie Eastlake brought her A-game on this one. This book contained so many different emotions, from deep despair to heated passion. Sophie was able to pull them all off beautifully! Also her sultry voice and pacing, really set the tone for the sexy book. Her different character voices were distinct and clear. She made listening to this audiobook an extremely enjoyable experience. Sophie is an another narrator that is on my 'Must Listen" list, because of her amazing character voices and consistent performances.

Carly Phillips has done it again! I enjoyed this book's roller coaster of emotion, and the fact that the author wrote extremely realistic characters. She has a real talent, when it comes to writing truly broken characters. This book was also inspirational, I know I personally got a lot from Isabelle's journey. This audiobook contained a lot of story content, in such a short book. If I had one tiny complaint, it would be that I wished I could have spent more time with Isabelle and Gabe. But I'm pretty sure we'll get to see them pop-up upcoming in another Dare to Love book.

Could not wait for book to end

The narrator's voice grated on me so much especially when she voiced any male character. This story appears to be a poor knock off of FSOG. I would absolutely avoid this narrator at all costs.

DAre to surrender

Isobel leaves her cheating boyfriend with little thought to her future. The thoughts she did have didn't include an arrest for grand theft auto thanks to the cheating jerk. Little did she think the night would end with her secret lust subject getting her released. His brother was the arresting officer. So begins leaving one man for another to take care of her. But she wants to proved she can be independent as she was before she let him take charge. Leaving Gabrial, she does find her way.
Until they meet again at a secluded resort she is hired to decorate the new club. Club owner--Gabriel Dare.
Isobel either has to give up the man who gets to her or makes sure he gets her. It is a good love story with an alpha man choosing control or love. A woman seeking independence giving into the man sometimes and letting him take care of her as long as she also get some respect.
