Full of heat and heart!

The glimpses of Alex we were given in DARE TO LOVE, drive me to pick up DARE TO DESIRE immediately. There is nothing I love more them a cocky, athletic, bad boy. It's a character flaw, I know. I can't help myself. I also loved his interactions with Riley. He couldn't have been all bad, seeing how much he cared for her as they grew up. I really enjoyed pealing back the layers of Alex's character, and seeing past the face he gave the world. He was willing to make amends for past bad decisions. I was really touched by the person Alex become. I liked Alex in the first book, but I really fell in love with in this one!

Madison is absolutely amazing and resilient! She wasn't so lucky growing up. She had to fight hard for to get where she is today. I was very impressed that she had made a career helping kids have a better life then she had. It took so much for her to let Alex back into her life. And I really enjoyed how she made him really work for it. He was able to give her the emotional support that she greatly needed in her life.

Sophie Eastlake's narration of this book really made Carly Phillips' world come to life. She has a deep, sultry quality to her voice that lends well to this genre. Her character voices were distinct and clear. And her pace and phrasing we spectacular. The emotions that she brought to this story, made this a truly enjoyable listen for me.

DARE TO DESIRE brought together a wonderful mix of heat and heart. Although this was a short audiobook, I felt that author really took the time fully flush out the characters. I loved how this book was really about second chances. I also think the storyline in DARE TO DESIRE, took the emotional depths even further then DARE TO LOVE. I really grew to care about these two, and the rest of the Dare family. I just wished that we had gotten more of their pre-injurey relationship. I can't wait for the next installment in this series!

Great Story and Audio

Would you listen to Dare to Desire again? Why?

Yes. I have listened many times to Dare to Desire, it is a great story and a keeps you interested in the characters

What other book might you compare Dare to Desire to and why?

The whole Dare to Love Series is a great series. You should just read and listen to all of the books and audio books.

Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Again I have listened to her in all of the Dare to Love Series. She has never made me want to turn office audio book, which happened with other narrators before.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Madison lost her court case and she was totally lost and Alex was frantically looking and waiting for her. You as the audience knew they were meant for each other.

Any additional comments?

This author and narrator are both great and I recommend both of them for their work.

Dare to Desire Book 2

I am so loving the fact that I got this series for review! Alex is a pretty big douche bag at first. He's a star quarterback and living the lifestyle of a partying bachelor. That all ends when he is injured during a game and has to give up football. Madison knows he is no good for her, but that doesn't stop her from wanting him. Now they are working together and fighting the attraction becomes harder and harder. I was really interested in the program they were trying to build. I found myself thinking about Ian and Riley a lot throughout this one as well. They pop up a few times and I enjoyed the look back. Overall I enjoyed the story and I was pulled in enough to want a happy ending for these two. I am looking forward to more in the series. I have a hard core addiction to series books and there are a lot of family members that need a story in this one!

Lovely

Love Carly Phillips & the Dare to Love series! Dare to Desire is a bit of a second chance romance for Alex & Madison. Alex was your typical cocky “famous” football player, but after shit hit the fan with his injury/early retirement, he treated everyone (excluding Madison) horribly. Some drama happens regarding her last foster family, and her insecurities regarding Alex’s fame & women, but everything ends up well in the end. Would definitely recommended! The narrator also did a great job as well.

Loved it

Not only did I love the story but also the reader. I felt like I was part of the story. I can't wait to read/hear more of Carly's books. Steamy, full of angst and a hot football player. Can't get any better than that!

Dare you not to love this book

I just loved this book. Madison was raised in foster homes, after the death of her mother. Alex is part of the secret family that broke up the marriage of Ian's family. Madison and Alex had been seeing each other for a few months but when Alex gets hurt during a game his football career is over and so is relationship with Madison.

Fast fwd six months. Ian offers Alex a job working with Madison, can the two over come everything that has happen in the past?

In this book you will watch two people overcome so many issues, fall in love, and start to heal one another.

I love the Dares!!

Another fantastic book by Carly Phillips! I love the Dares and can't wait to read all their stories! This is a second chance for Alex and Madison since he pushed her away after his injury. They have such chemistry! So much to this book just had to keep going until I was finished! You won't be disappointed!

One hot story!

I really enjoyed DARE TO DESIRE! The story is the perfect mix of heart and heat. Sophie Eastlake does a fantastic job narrating the characters and bringing the story to life.

I highly recommend this book to all those who love a heartfelt romance that is highly erotic.

OMG!

can you DRAG out a SORRY ass woman so long! I've never felt so bad for a fictional character... poor Alex! it's called grow up!
