Sometimes a wrong turn leads to the right destination.

When a violent spring storm washes out roads and bridges throughout the English countryside, Elizabeth Bennet and her sister Jane find themselves stranded at the Crossroads Inn—the same establishment where Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley have reluctantly taken shelter.

Confined together under one roof for days, with nowhere to retreat and social conventions suspended by necessity, Elizabeth and Darcy must confront their misunderstandings in close quarters.

But when the skies clear and the roads become passable once more, will their newfound understanding survive in the world beyond the inn? Or will pride and prejudice reassert themselves once they return to the drawing rooms of Hertfordshire society?

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, a simple detour from the expected path may lead Elizabeth and Darcy to their most important destination—if only they have the courage to follow where it leads.
