DANGEROUS DEVOTION

Sofia Reynolds had twenty-four hours to decide: betray her husband or become his next victim.

James's billion-dollar empire runs on cartel money, and his perfect marriage is just another lie he tells. Former detective Max Delgado knows how dangerous men like James can be—he's spent years putting them away. But when Sofia hires him to investigate her husband, Max discovers something worse than betrayal: he's falling for a woman whose life depends on destroying the man she married.

As Sofia and Max dig deeper into James's criminal connections, they uncover a web of murder, money laundering, and lies that reaches the highest levels of power. But when James discovers their investigation, Sofia becomes a target—and the only person she can trust is the man whose touch ignites a passion that could destroy them both.

In a world where wealth can't buy safety and love might be the most dangerous risk of all, Sofia must choose: stay silent and survive, or expose the truth and lose everything—including her heart.

A heart-pounding romantic thriller where deadly secrets collide with forbidden desire, and one woman's search for truth becomes a fight for her life.

An immediately engrossing storyline with characters you quickly become invested in. Well written except for the tendency to have one of the main characters look back on the steps on how they got to where they were at present. In my opinion, it happened too often and almost verbatim.

One of the better AI narrators with only a few hiccups. For example, pronouncing the word ”does” as the plural of the word “doe” which seems to be quite common with AI.
