Fans of the Beautiful Creatures series will find this new series that explores the consequences of Lena's claiming and how much more dangerous the dark side is when you anger the wrong people.

best audible production! Better than reading it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have loved this entire series and this title was no disappointment, it is amazing to hear it as an audio book as it has its own soundtrack and each unique character which helps set the mood for each part. I can not imagine reading the printed version of these books and loving them as much as the audio production, so great. I can not wait for the next part of this spin off series!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Ridley, always have. She's the bad girl that doesn't want to be bad, or at least she won't admit it. fantastic getting to see more of her history, and Shrinky Dink Link:)

What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

she is one of my favorite narrators so is Kevin T Collins, they are a match made in heaven and do a great job with this series

Link and Ridley's story apart from the "Beautiful Creatures" series which I think was a great idea! They definitely have a story to tell. Throughout the "Beautiful Creatures" books, they are on-again/off-again quite frequently. I felt like they needed to just go ahead and make up their minds about each other.

In this story, they are both headed to NYC for Link to try and make it BIG in a band. Little does he know, Ridley is selling him out to Lennox Gates to pay off a debt she owes from cheating in a game. She thinks she can deliver him and get him out of this mess but this "little siren" is way over her head because she has a bigger bounty on her than she realizes! From the grave, Abraham Ravenwood wants her and Link dead to avenge his death and he is working through Lennox to make sure that happens.

Along the way, Link and Ridley will fight like they always do. During their "off" time, someone becomes interested in Link because she is so much like him and they work very close together. Ridley will run off because she feels unwanted and unloved...that's how she copes with these feelings and into the arms of Lennox Gates. We learn a lot more about him in this time.

Silas Ravenwood has been charged with taking over the job for Lennox since he is becoming too soft toward Ridley. They must devise a plan to trick Silas or all 3 of their lives will be on the line.

The ending is not what I thought it would be. I'm not going to lie...I really want Ridley to be with Lennox because they definitely belong together and I think they both equally love each other. I know, I know...fate has other plans! I'm very curious to see what will happen in the next book.

I will also say this audible book was awesome because sound effects were used and they actually had music and singing involved as well. I really wish more audible books used those to their disposal because it really enhances the experience of reading!
