Story
Green Acres newcomer Chelsea Riehl is annoyed. After all, she signed on as an event planner, not to pit plums alongside mission-minded hippie Keanan Welsh, the only other single on the farm. Discouraged by Chelsea's lack of spiritual depth, Keanan is confused when she offers to arrange meals for the church Alpha program he is co-hosting. Maybe he misjudged her after all.

Story
Eden Andrusek knows she should have fixed her fence last week. It's too bad her runaway goat makes a less-than-ideal first impression on her new neighbor, who turns out to be cute, brilliant, and a little uptight. Solar architect Jacob Riehl is furious when he returns outside to find a goat eating his presentation. As someone who likes everything in its place, he has little sympathy for a farm animal in the city or its tattooed owner, but there's something about the lovely Eden that captures his attention.

Publisher's Summary
She hates him. He loves her not.
Men are weeds. Allison Hart doesn't need them in her carefully tended life, though her friends at Green Acres seem happy with their guys. Why can't Allison open her heart to anyone but her young nephew? Then again, he'll be a man one day, too. If only the irritating contractor in charge of building her home and farm school wasn't the boy's favorite person.
Fireworks with Brent Callahan's newest client shift from antagonism to the rocky possibility of a relationship. When he comes face to face with a history he'd much rather forget, he realizes hiding his failures isn't the best option for finding forgiveness, let alone love.
Can a little boy help weed out the past before it chokes their future together?

The farm really is a blessed place of love and healing.
This is a “real” book- it involves real problems, real consequences and real love and mercy. Alison has a very jaded view of men as every man she has known she believes just uses women-including her dad. Trust isn’t in her vocabulary and marriage was not going to happen. Brent did the crazy young adult gig in college- women and booze , without a thought to any possible consequences. After Brent had hit rock bottom and finally found Jesus and repentance, he hoped it was all over and he could forget anything ever happened. Well his past came back to haunt him and with Alison demons there’s almost zero chance of a happy ending. This has strong Christian themes, but also the understanding that professional councilors have an important place in healing. Strong themes of repentance, forgiveness and mercy to self and each other.

Everyone has a few weeds in their lives
This Farm Fresh Romance touches on how past experiences can have consequences into the future, and how God's love is so powerful in a person's weaknesses and mistakes. Allison is rather cold at the start of the story but her journey shows faith, courage, and strength. Brent has growing to do too. Then there is the little boy in pain who links them together. Loved the ending.

Gripping Story
Where does Dandelions for Dinner rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Out of 10, this book ranks a solid 8. I love this story, it's one of my favorites of Comer's, but the narrator's style of reading took some getting used to for me. Not bad, just a bit over pronounced.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dandelions for Dinner?
I loved the themes of grace, forgiveness, and the tension of broken trust that ran through this book. In a lot of ways, Comer really hit hard on some issues that many people face, and have to deal with. I love the way that she portrayed the characters' journeys of growth and healing as they faced the consequences of their past actions.
What about Becky Doughty’s performance did you like?
I liked how she did different voices for each character and was able to keep them straight throughout her entire performance. Her reading was clear and easy to follow.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
When the past haunts you, and you feel beaten from all sides, what do you turn to? Or rather Who?

This series keeps getting better and better!
Where does Dandelions for Dinner rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of my favorites because I love a story where forgiveness wins!
Any additional comments?
I find it rare for a series to get better and better, but this one is doing just that. I thought this was the best book in the Farm Fresh Romance series yet! I was a little leery going into it as I wasn't sure about adding to the original three female characters, but the author made it work and more. I love how these books are not only sweet romances but contain themes of sustainable and simple living as well as growing in Christ. This one deals extensively and really well with themes of forgiveness and redemption. I also really like the author's explorations of what it means to live in community. I highly recommend this series and this book!

Brilliant performance
Brilliantly (!) performed, indeed. Really sweet love story, including the rescue of the cutest little (not quite) 4-year old. Clean. Inspirational. Lovely continuation of the first three Fresh Romances at the thriving Green Acres Farm with Domino, Maddie, and no more mice, thanks to Jane Eyre. Great internal dialogues. A taste of the power of faith in Jesus and the blessing of living in a close-knit, faith-based community living gently on the earth. Lovely Irish accent of one of the supporting characters. What a great listening treat.

A Journey of Forgiveness You Must Take!
Dandelions for Dinner was a delightful story of faith, forgiveness and taking trust to a whole new level! It also gave me a whole new appreciation for the little yellow "weeds" and so much so I may just have to try them out. This book really makes you feel like you are a part of the construction of the school and home and are actually on sight to experience the frustrations associated with building. Definitely a unique story of forgiveness and trust!

The flavour of the farm & community is inspiring.
This is the 4th in this series that I have heard and I have loved it as much as the others. I feel I must say thank you for writing these books, I have enjoyed each one. The flavour of the farm and community really comes through and makes me want to be able to at least visit.
