I didn't believe in love, until I met you..

I realise there are different people in this world, even if I wouldn't react one way doesn't make it wrong. Saying that, I did enjoy this book thoroughly and how it brings another books characters back into the mix. Wonderful job.

Mail Order Misdelivery!

I love the premise of this series...that perhaps a Mail Order Bride is better suited for a different suitor. In this case Leila was traveling west to meet Joe when her train was robbed and she suffered from a head injury and lost consciousness. Dan McCall rescued Leila and took her to the doctor where she awoke and discovered her memory was gone. In the midst of this trauma she met McCall for the first time and fell in love with him.

McCall is a confirmed bachelor. After all, a US Marshall doesn't have the most stable or safe job and he doesn't want to be the reason a woman might be left a widow. He is convinced that Leila's attraction to him is nothing more than hero-worship and she will get over it soon.

Slowly Leila's memory comes back and with it the realization that the man she was coming to marry isn't the upstanding man she thought he was. Now Leila has decisions to make.

The narrator was enjoyable to listen to and his voice went well with the story and the characters.

If you have read other Goss books this one does not place as much emphasis on faith as her other books, but is still good, clean romance that I highly recommend.

Dan the man

Dan McCall's Bride
Mail Order Misdelivery, Book 1
By: Barbara Goss

Before I can even think of reviewing I will say I am annoyed!!! Salina is pronounced Sa-line-a not Sa-lean-a!!!

This is a historical fiction western romance. Leila is on a train headed to Hays Kansas to be the mail order bride of Joe, when train robbers attack. When US marshal.

Dan McCall arrives. The robbers grab a woman hostage. As they make a quick get away they throw her to the ground. Dan rescues her but she has amnesia. She falls head

over heals for him. That is where the adventure begins. Corrupt sheriff, cattle rustlers, and much more keep Dan busy, oh and trying to convince Leila he isn't the

marrying kind.

The listener will travel with these folks to the end of the journey, of who ends up with a bride.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. : R. William James may be a little breathy, but nice voice.

Love on the side of the road...

Any additional comments?

This book centered around the female lead, Leila and her journey to her future husband, Joe.

There is trouble on the train and Leila needs help from a handsome stranger.

There are twists, turns, and love in unexpected places making this story a Good weekend Read.

R. William James did well with the narration.

Hero Worship or True Love?

Federal Marshal Dan McCall is used to rescuing people from bad situations. He is also used to young women throwing themselves at him and wants nothing to do with them. He has his job and that is all he needs. That is until one rescue that ends up changing his life.

Leila is on the train to meet her husband to be. She is determined to marry the man that she has been writing to, but then she is taken off the train and left for dead only to have a handsome marshal find her and causes her to fall deeply in love with him. But is it Love or just hero worship? And what will she do with the man who is waiting to marry?

Barabra starts this new series with a great story and strong characters! R.William James brings Barabra's story to life! I look forward to another book narrated by RWJ!
