Publisher's Summary

Two centuries ago, the Imperium of Man and the upstart Tau Empire fought to a standstill in the Damocles Gulf.

Now, as the 41st millennium draws to a close, the tau have returned. As the world of Agrellan falls under attack, the White Scars and Raven Guard rush to its defence, but with the skilled Commander Shadowsun leading the alien forces, the Space Marines and their allies are hard pressed. Kor'sarro Khan, Huntmaster of the White Scars, swears that he will win the day in the most direct way possible - by taking Shadowsun's head.

Anthology with *mostly* good stories within it

Hard to hear like most 40k, otherwise mostly good mix of stories around the Tau.

Variety and volume

Mixing was far too quiet. Some of the characters were far too similar and tough to distinguish. Otherwise it was a fun story.

Should be called Tau are God.

Very misleading title. Space Marines portrayed as incompetent and easily fooled pushovers. Bad all in all.

Outgunned & Outsmarted, tales of Tau Dominance

Out hunt the White Scars & out stealth the Raven Guard. Only Imperial Knights stand a fighting chance @ range and Space Marine weapons are ineffective save in close combat. Come watch the Adeptus Astartes get butchered by the technologically superior Tau flying at Range, shooting Space Marines like fish in a barrel with minimal losses. Getting blasted to smithereens by Tau weaponry while bolter fire bounces harmlessly off the Tau. They make Space Marines look like novice Guardsmen initiates. If you’re a Space Marines fan this’ll be like watching a Rocky Balboa movie without the righteous comeback...it’s one bitter defeat after another and even the marginal Imperial victories are all just part of the Greater plan for the Greater Good. Technically the writing & narration is as good as any other SM Battles novel. Tau fans rejoice as the superiority of your faction is made part of WH40k canon.

Too quiet

The story is great but needs a sound engineer to turn the volume up so you can hear properly
