Publisher's summary

Once upon a time, I was your average spunky redhead with the lamest employment history ever, a shaky relationship with my only family member, and no idea what I was doing with my life.

Now, I'm a pseudo mythic with the best bartending job in the world, the most amazing (and hot) best friends I never knew I needed, and a guild of misfit magic users who've become my extended family.

And I'm about to lose it all.

In my desperation to save Ezra, I stumbled into a web of ruthless deception - and seriously pissed off a sleeping hydra. Now its every murderous head is turned toward me and my guild, and I don't know how to stop it. I'm not sure I can.

I'm not sure anyone can.

But if we don't, we're all doomed - Ezra, Aaron, Kai, and my beloved guild.

Great ending to the series!

Damned Souls and a Sangria
(The Guild Codex: Spellbound #8)
by Annette Marie
I never really liked Tori all that much until this book. I enjoyed this whole series and how it weaved the Demon series in with it. I love how well developed the characters are and the terrific fantasy is fresh and unique. Lots of great creatures fighting the main characters which is always pretty fun!😁
Read these in order! Read the Demon series too!
Narration was great by Chris Dukehart!

I loved this book. But honestly I love this entire series and pretty much everything the author has written. its an emotional joyride from start to finish.

Wish it wasn’t over

I can’t express how much I love this series and what a great end this is! The characters are interesting and the story is always exciting. I just hope she will write more in this universe so we can experience more of these fantastic characters and their stories.

Awesome!

Loved it... desperately wanting this to go on but all good things must end. Tori rocked, the crew delivered and the ending left me satisfied. Now I will move on to the other Guild Codex stories.

favorite heroine

this is one of my favorite female heroines. she is a bad as woman surrounded by bad asses. At no point did any of the points where she needed help diminish her or others. it only served to highlight how strong of odds she was up against rather than making her look weak she looked more capable. Just like Aaron Sinclair said in book one.

Satisfying for me!

4.5 stars — Absolutely fabulous conclusion to this series. I was worried, knowing that the timelines crossed, that I was going to be unsatisfied having to choose which series to finish first…but this one was written in such a way that you saw peeks, but not enough to ruin anything. And at the same time I wasn’t left wanting in such a way that it would drive me crazy.

This one had so many close calls and heart-stopping situations…as I’ve come to expect from Ms. Marie. Honestly, I’m surprised I finished this series without having a heart attack. So many times I genuinely thought “OMG, how are they going to get through this?” And yet I didn’t feel like the solutions were cobbled together…they made sense, and I even wondered about one before it happened. I kind of loved that. It didn’t have any deus ex machina, it was more a fulfillment of so many things from earlier in the series.

Loved that all of our main players got to play a part, and I just continue to love them more and more (and become more and more intrigued by some of them — can’t say who, spoilers). Obviously I was in love with the progress in Tori and Ezra’s relationship — it felt just right for them.

I don’t really want to say much, b/c when you get to the final book in a series, reviews seem a little silly — because you’re probably already invested at this point. All I can say is that it totally lived up to my expectations, and I was wholeheartedly satisfied. LOVED the epilogue. I just ended it with all these great feelings of joy and relief. Now I need to finish off one more series, and then patiently wait for the offshoot series to have more books. 😛

Exciting

This book series kept my attention from the very beginning to the end. I binge listened to it... I wish there were more books in this series. I'm sad it is over.

What a Series!!!!

This series of books is by far in my whole time favourites list!!! I absolutely loved this series and Book 8 the final one, certainly didn't disappoint. When I got this, I was in 2 minds to listen to it. I just didn't want the series to finish, so I kept myself back from listening! The finale was brilliant. It propelled you straight into their world and spat you out at the end. Annette Marie is a formidable writer. The plot and characters are written in such a intricate way, that you really feel part of it. This book tied everything up and was just such a pleasure to listen to. Do not hesitate in purchasing these books!!

Absolutely phenomenal.

When I first started the series I (like Tori) didn't realise what I was getting into. But again, like her, I'm so glad I did. This book was amazing. While Two Witches and a Whiskey will always be my favourite of the series, this pulls in at a close second. I loved it, start to finish. If you're a fan of the series it's a must-read.

Excellent

Well Tori’s Journey is over and it was amazing from start to finish. Damned souls and a sangria had everything I wanted it to, it was funny, Jam packed with action, it had smoking romance, all my favourite characters where front and centre and they all share the glory that is this final book. Even though Toris story had ended we still have so much to come form the GC and will hopefully still see and fiery redhead and her gorgeous mage’s in the future.

Perfect conclusion to the story

I'm in love with this series, and I hope we keep seeing all these characters, but this was the perfect conclusion!

A good ending but reading to say goodbye to these characters

I’m glad I interrupted my reading of this series a few books back to read the first two instalments of the companion series demonised with features Robin. After finishing this series now I feel ready to say goodbye to this group of mythical and finish off with Robin whose story has probably become my favourite.
I’d love to see more of Zack/Ghost and Robins cousin in upcoming books.

Great series

this was a great series with amazing characters and character development that go against expectations. However I feel the ending was slightly disappointing as it made the story feel more like Ezra's story then Toris story. Also I felt the conclusion with her parents was lacking.
