Excellent storytelling!

Cogman has a wonderful gift for imaginative storytelling. I love her characters and the story is engaging. I enjoy all her books and can’t wait for the next.

Didn’t want it to end!

I loved everything about this trilogy. The characters, the writing, the voiceover, the performance. It was fantastic! I didn’t want it to end.

Disappointed

Having cherished the initial two books, I was eager for this continuation. However, the switch in narrators proved detrimental. The new narrator's depiction of Lady Marguerite felt abrasive and utterly at odds with the character established previously, to the point of being entirely distracting. Regrettably, I was unable to complete the book, a clear consequence of the inconsistent narration within the series.
