Strong captivating story.

This book kept my attention more than any book I have read recently. It made me cry which I don’t often do. So the story was well told with well defined characters and nicely paced plot that released its secrets carefully. I loved the book. Thank you for the magic.

Nice intrigue. A bit of a stretch

I wanted to like this book….. SO much. Just really couldn’t give it a great rating. The characters are good. The story is good. Just way too many “leaps” from reality to make it a good read/listen. Dugoni has some great books out there (Sam Hell) but this isn’t one of them.

Dugoni tackles some difficult topics, and provides a terrific personal touch in his acknowledgements.

I enjoyed both the story and the narration. However, I would suggest the narrator work a bit harder on his English accent 😉

I really liked how all the pieces came together with this book. I really enjoyed it.

Not a Legal Thriller, but good story

Would you listen to Damage Control again? Why?

Once was enough. Would recommend it. Good characters. In a way, a bit of a "lite" read. Still I enjoyed it. Some mystery. Some real life events. Some miracles. Some tragedy. HOWEVER do not even think about court rooms, the law, Scott Turow, John Grisham. This book is nothing like their work.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Damage Control?

The beginning hooked me. The second visit to the eccentric artist was a bit thrilling. I enjoyed the flow of the book and characters and of course a love story emerges - implausibly but I suppose in real life love shows up in implausible ways.

Which scene was your favorite?

Again I think the beginning got me and momentum stayed strong enough.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. I appreciate the author informing readers (just enough so) about breast cancer. Too little is said and done on that reality. The way it played out in the book however was lame. It suggested it could be a cake walk and that is simply the wrong message.

Any additional comments?

I would like to read more of this author's books. I liked the narrator very much. Occasionally I was a little confused whether we were hearing a male or female character talking/thinking in the narration. Still, the narrator truly seemed to fit the main character. And I liked the main character of the book.

Not disappointed!

I have loved Robert Dugoni’s books, and this no exception. Kept my interest throughout and provided an “escape” which is what a decent mystery should do. I enjoyed this book and would love a sequel. There’s more to Detective Mike Logan.

Amazing!

Well written. There wasn't much of a time lapse between setting this book down and picking it back up again. I will remember this for a long time!
