Publisher's Summary

Murder once again strikes the quaint little tourist town of Cozy Creek. This time the victim is an arrogant independent film director who has a bad habit of making of enemies.

As the set decorator for the movie, Daisy is in a unique position to do some serious sleuthing. But she can't solve the murder alone.

She enlists her cupcake baking best friend Samantha, wise cracking Granny Annie, private investigator crush Gavin, and her lovable west highland terrier, Shamus, to find the killer.

Daisy McDare Book 3

Daisy was doing the set design for a new movie when the director was murdered. When she didn't agree with the direction of the police investigation she decided to investigate the crime herself. She walks a fine line when asking people questions so they talk to her without feeling interrogated. Her friend Samantha is on hand to chat for provide sweets. Granny Annie is on hand to give investigative advice. Fun and enjoyable cozy mystery with excellent narration makes this book (and the entire series) a great listen. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Just fluff.

If you're just looking for fluff you might enjoy Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair. The characters are flat. The mystery is solved on a hunch. No real clues to follow and the mention of food in every chapter gets ridiculous.

Excellent

Cozy Creek along the Pacific Coast, a movie was being filmed, Daisy got a job as set decorators. Soon it was light and murder, the victim had a flair for making enemies. With best friends Samantha and Ginny to figure out who killer was. Daisy wonders why life couldn’t be a romantic comedy, at thirty three, another man down, thank goodness for chocolate. These are always delightful with a touch of humor and a murder to solve. Given audio which added to the story for my voluntary review and review review

A Disappointment Overall

Ms. Shiveley's voice is hard to listen to. She drops the last word of EVERY sentence down into a growl. When she speaks in her upper register, it is quite pleasant. This book happened to be VERY close in characters and plot, not to mention many duplicate phrases....a minus for KM Morgan.

Another fun mystery, loved the narration as well

Another fun story. Once again, Daisy was working on a job when someone was murdered. The clues were there and I got them, but I still picked the wrong person. I enjoyed the humor in the story as well as the personal relationship between Daisy and Gavin, and their dogs. Caroline Shively did a wonderful job with the narration and bringing the characters to life. I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

Daisy McDare

I really enjoy the Daisy McDare series and want to see her find her true love. The only thing about these audio books is the narrator, it is hard to distinguish between characters at times. l voluntarily reviewed an audio copy of this book.
