Deputy Sheriff, Quincey Morris, thought the low point of his week was the twilight shootout between Albuquerque's rival drug gangs, but he was wrong. All of Quincey's training could not prepare him for the confrontation with the vengeful Morgan Stregocia. She has devoted herself to hunting down the descendants of Van Helsing's original "vampire slayers" who destroyed the legendary Dracula more than a century ago.

Story
Lucy and Owen, ambitious, thoroughly-therapized New Yorkers, have taken the plunge, trading in their crazy life in a cramped apartment for Beekman, a bucolic Hudson Valley exurb. They've got a 200-year-old house, an autistic son obsessed with the Titanic, and 17 chickens, at last count. It's the kind of paradise where stay-at-home moms team up to cook the school's "hot lunch", dads grill grass-fed burgers, and, as Lucy observes, "chopping kale has become a certain kind of American housewife's version of chopping wood".

Publisher's Summary
2017 Independent Author Network Winner - Best Comedy/Satire Novel
What a mess. This was not supposed to happen.
This isn't where Nick Owen thought he would be by this point in life. He used to be a busy web programmer. Now, he spends most of his energy trying to stop his three-year-old twins from playing in a dirty sand pit. Nick thinks of himself as Daddy 3.0, a stay-at-home dad - but he just wasn't programmed for this.
He must navigate a new world of jungle gyms and play dates while supporting his surgeon wife. He tries his best to be there for the twins, but he can't stop making a mess of things. He's just about nearing the end of his rope when the Swing Incident happens. The Swing Incident, spoken of in hushed tones around Nick's New York City apartment building, has caused the resident queen bee, nicknamed "Supermom", to declare him an enemy for life. No matter what Nick does to get back into Supermom's good graces, he fails spectacularly.
Now, Nick's going to have to learn to fight fire with fire and become the best super-parent on the block. This hilarious new book by Rob Armstrong chronicles one man's journey into the world of modern fatherhood - one botched haircut, playground fight, and dirty diaper at a time.
Stay-at-home dads have a new hero, of sorts.

A stay at home fathers tale
A wonderful story that tells the tale of the parent who stays at home and the battles they deal with that many a spouse is unaware of. I found the story humorous entertaining and quite eye opening. It really stresses the need for partners to communicate, be open and honest. The characters are very well developed and the scenarios range from absurd to truly realistic. Can’t recommend it enough. Very enjoyable
This book was a wonderful illustration of life in the parental trenches. Parents of both sexes have to traverse many obstacles to raise their little ones to adulthood. This is Nick Owen's story.
We see Nick as a fledging stay-at-home dad to twin girls. Over the course of the book he grows into his role while managing the many bumps along the way, most significantly keeping his working wife happy.
We applaud when he succeeds, wince when he fails (which he does often), and cringe every time 'super Mom' comes into view.
The narration was really good. I've listened to several Wehrlen books and it always amazes me that he captures the essence of his characters so well.
This is not a laugh-out-loud book of funny but it does hit the smirk button, especially for us parents.

Not so much a comedy, but it is good!!
I thought when i got this that it would be amusing stories from a dad's point of view, but that isn't what i got. Most of these stories i didn't really find as a comedy, it's more every day life and the struggles a lot of parents, not just dad's, come across in the day to day life with raising kids. I liked hearing the real day to day of a stay at home parent, the good and the bad, and that it can surprise you on even with the struggles, being with your kids so much would be missed by the parent. So, not a comedy in my opinion, but awesome!!

Child centred or child eccentric? Hmmmn
Nick never expected to be a stay home Dad, the proverbial “Mr. Mom “. At first, as expected, he was embarrassed by the turn of the traditional roles. It was expected as everyone seemed to have a comment, “lucky you marrying a doctor and get to stay home home and not work.” Of course it’s those whom have never stayed home with the children who would dare say “not work”!
Daddy 3.0 is Nick’s journey learning to be a full time parent, housekeeper, cook, and all those things associated with domesticity. Oh yes, he is also being a support to his severely overworked wife while she works through a year’s residency as a surgical fellow in a New York hospital. His adventure is funny, frustrating and fascinating. We learn about his relationships with other “moms” and the clever names he gives them. His experience as part of the co-op family association is interesting, especially his encounters with “super Mom”. His in-laws are so enthusiastic about his role as caregiver / slacker! What a treat.
Andrew Wehrlen’s narration of the story adds to the fun. I especially like his “lady voices”. So sit back, relax and enjoy, but be prepared to laugh out loud every once in a while. I would recommend this to anyone who is married (or not) with children (or child). I was given this audiobook, at my request, in exchange for an honest review.

Mr. Mom gets an upgrade to Daddy 3.0
What made the experience of listening to Daddy 3.0: A Comedy of Errors the most enjoyable?
As a stay at home mom I do enjoy these stories of men trying to do what we do. He really started out pretty crummy, and made a lot of dumb or lazy choices but as the book went on it was fun to watch him grow and be a better dad and then want to be a better dad and husband. It was a sweet story with a lot of comedy with the kids and then the other mom's in their building. I loved how he didn't use their names but gave them names based on their personality types - the annoying Supermom, Goodheart, and Lion Tamer were just a few of the main ones. It was a interesting switch in the story when I started actually rooting for him to do better... in the beginning he started out with a bad attitude and was rather annoying and I honestly wasn't sure I wanted to finish the book. I am glad I did. I do agree with one of the other reviewers that this would make a great movie.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was more shock in some of his boneheaded choices... knowing that disaster was coming next.

Life with kids.
I had high hopes for this but and while it was somewhat enjoyable, it wasn't exactly what I had hoped for. I was hoping for tons of laugh out loud moments, but sadly I didn't find many of those. Basically the book is a very down to earth look at what it's like to be a stay at home dad. Were there some humorous moments? Sure, but nothing that anyone who has kids or has been around kids hasn't seen for themselves. I was hoping for some over the top humor, not just everyday life. So while I think there are plenty of adults who will be able to identify with the events of the book, I don't know if they'll find reading about stuff they might see and experience on a regular basis to be all that entertaining.
The book is narrated by Andrew Wehrlen and as always he delivers a solid performance.
I received a copy of this audio title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

Story
Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Older, but not wiser, Lancaster goes back to basics in this hilarious essay collection about everything from taking community policing classes to accidentally getting high with her waiter after a fancy dinner. These are the tales she'd tell if she met you in a bar... if she weren't too lazy to put on pants and go to a bar. Offering advice ranging from how to remain happily married to a man who refuses to blow his damn nose already to not creating An Incident at the cheese counter during an attempt at Whole30, she's you, only louder.

Lauren Weedman is not okay. She's living what should be the good life in sunny Los Angeles. After a gig as a correspondent with The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, she scored parts in blockbuster movies, which led to memorable recurring roles on HBO's Hung and Looking. She had a loving husband and an adorable baby boy. In these comedic essays, she turns a piercingly observant, darkly funny lens on the ways her life is actually not okay.
