Defending Christendom - the struggle, the sacrifice, the faith has been taking place for centuries. But where did it all begin? What was the spark that lit the fuse?

It happened in a far away land and decisions made by people who had no idea the western world existed or what their decisions would come to mean.

Eventually they would mean vast armies scouring the land for loot and slaves, and with the stated intention of destroying Christendom for ideological and extremist religious reasons. Yet standing in their path were individuals that history has largely forgotten. They stood in times of great need and they fought for Christendom against unbelievable odds, against those who time and time again sought to invade and to enslave.

And so the question must be asked ... in such a time of great need, where are those heroes now?
