Great beginning weak ending.

Very solid on build up and a wide variety of characters. Very solid planning. Can't describe the ending without spoilers but it didn't feel good.

Good book and an excellent series.

I absolutely love this series of books. I can't say enough about them. This is your classic zombie novel. If you were squeamish or graphic things disturb you this probably isn't for you, but I absolutely love it. The only thing negative that I can say about this series of books is I wish there was an easier way to follow the characters from book to book that you become involved with. That doesn't mean that I am not going to get everyone of the books in the series though.
I received this book from the author narrator or publisher for an honest review

Another Great Book by TW Brown

Any additional comments?

Yet another great book by TW Brown! I really enjoy the Snapshot series. This book is fast paced and full of action. The narrator did a good job.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

A good take on the zombie apocalypse

Where does DEAD: Snapshot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. I love most zombie books and I love T.W. Brown's world so this was a nice addition to those stories. It was a nice little one-shot story about a small town and how the people there try to deal with zombies and the horrible humans left in the world. You feel bad for them, knowing they have a hard road ahead but you cheer for them too, wanting them to make it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's hard to pick one character I liked over the others. I guess I'd have to pick Jaimie. She was forced to be the mayor of the town without any experience and then the zombies came and she had to make the tough decisions to keep the people of Liberty safe. It was never easy and she made mistakes but it's what made her human.

Which character – as performed by Pamela Lorence – was your favorite?

Pamela does such a good job on giving each character their own voice, making them unique enough that you could tell them apart without being told, so I don't think I can pick one over the others. She makes you feel what they're going through, the hard decisions, the pain if something goes bad and you find yourself worrying that they may die before the end of the book (some do). I think she gives just the right tone to each character and when there's action, Pamela gets the tenseness of the situation right.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was, though it's too long to really do that. I wanted to find out what happened to each character, if they'd live or die and if the town would be able to survive not just the zombies but the raiders. When the biker gang showed up, I didn't know for sure if the town would realize their mistake in time and I was angry when so many people lost their lives because they were too trusting. It was hard when the town had to turn people away, the ending especially but you knew there was no other choice. In a situation like that, you can't take everyone in and you can't save everyone.

Any additional comments?

There's a lot of action in this book, even more than some of the rest of the Dead series books and it keeps you interested for the whole thing. There's a lot of blood and gore and violence, so if that's not your thing you might want to avoid it but if you love zombies and understand you'll be seeing a lot of that (or expect it) then you definitely need to give this one a shot. Especially if you're like me and loved the Dead series already.

New friends, and old (undead?) ones! *****

I have enjoyed TW Brown’s world (which may just be one thinly-veiled cosmic reality right next to our reality). I find it completely immersive, while still being able to pay attention to the road.
Our family regularly does the “what if” thing and zombies come up quite frequently. It kind of gives us an opportunity to explain our most recent prepper plans or actions. Our family’s motto is “the family that kills zombies together”, stays together... hopefully, we’ll
never have to face TW Brown’s world. I mean, really, that could never happen. Right? RIGHT???

multi-character zombie story

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom dot com.

It's very rare to find zombie books with female narrators, so I jumped at the book when I found it. I enjoyed the narrator's natural voice very much. She also has excellent character voices. A few examples would include the gasping private from early in the book and johnathan's elderly mom.

As for the story, it has some gruesome descriptions (intestines falling out the gut comes to mind), but nothing too indecent. Personally, I prefer stories that focus on 1-2 characters. This story follows pretty much everyone from the town. Unlike some books, it was easy enough to follow and track each one individually. The focus is less on the zombies and more on people working together (and not working together).

Better Zombie Story

Any additional comments?

Not much I can add that hasn't already been written. Not just a good zombie book, but a good book in general. Really great narration too.
