South Parkesk in audio form

Mel Gibson as president, Donald trump, aliens, a Canadian wall and more. Very strange and weird and highly entertaining. If you like South Park and that style of humor you will truly enjoy this trilogy.I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

You'll like this if you like crude crazy.

What made the experience of listening to DAVE! (A Novel from the Future) Part 3 the most enjoyable?

The audio book is like a crazy roller coaster ride. It's so all over the place of over the top that it's actually fun and enjoyable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Starlet is pretty cool. She gets her face half ripped off, acts like it's just another bad day, and fixes it with staples and duct tape.

Have you listened to any of David S. Dear’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to David S. Dear's performance during Dave part 1 and part 2. He is on par in part 3. David performs exceptionally well keeping characters unique and memorable. He adds unique voice inflections that keeps the characters distinct and easy to remember throughout the story. Very well done.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Starlet tells Eric he can shove a pencil in her rear side while taking her from the front side.

Any additional comments?

The Dave series is absolutely nuts crazy. It's crude with foul language, sex, and violence. If you enjoy science fiction mixed with crude humor and a ton of ADHD then you'll like this book. A quote from the TV reporter Chaz Mufflebeard, "This chalk dust is getting all up in me tits."

The end

This is the final part of the Dave story and in some ways I will miss it.

It was, like the first two parts, completely silly. There was more gross humour and satire. Basically if you liked the first two parts then you know what to expect.

This is the third of three parts of Dave! not a stand alone book so you really need to listen to parts 1 and 2 first.

I enjoyed it but not quite as much as the first two parts, partly because of some graphic violence that I found hard to listen to. Personally I would have preferred it if the violence was less graphic and the gross stuff cut back but that is completely a personal taste thing, not a fault of the book which I still enjoyed.

There was lots more of Starlet, which I liked and of course more of Eric and his fellow plotters.

As with the first two parts my only real problem with this title is that you need to use three credits to get the whole book.

David S.Dear's narration was perfect again, he really brought the characters to life for me.

Humorous, Ridiculous, Silly, and Fun

If you liked the last two books, you will like this one. As usual, the author and his comedic creativity are on full display. This book was just as funny, inventive, and ridiculous as the other two in the trilogy.

The narration was excellent (as usual) and I would have expected no less after the last two books.

Dave #3

Any additional comments?

Dave #3 finishes out the trilogy of goofiness, complete with Uncle Mel. Listen to the first 2 and maybe it will make more sense, if that's what you really want.
All of Marc Richard's books have an oddness to them that, if one is so inclined to the odd, is easy to appreciate, simply for the out there way he comes up with the tales. The narrator, David S. Dear, does a great job in keeping up the tongue-in-cheek absurdity of it all.
