Publisher's Summary

A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.

A hilarious cozy mystery from the New York Times best-selling author Addison Moore.

My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets. And for some reason those sweet, fluffy, albeit paranormal cuties always seem to act as a not-so-great harbinger of deadly things to come for their previous owner. So when I saw that sweet orange tabby twirling around my landlord’s ankles, I figured Merilee was in for trouble.

Personally, I was hoping for a skinned knee - what I got was a top spot in an open homicide investigation. Throw in a hot judge and an ornery detective that oozes testosterone and that pretty much sums up my life right about now. Have I mentioned how cute that detective is?

Lottie Lemon has a bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets - which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.

Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder.

Great cozy mystery

If you love cozy mysteries and food then you will love this book. I loved the humorous situations that Lottie seems to find herself in. Murder, mystery, and light romance is what you will find. The narrator was a joy to listen to. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

once again.

The narrators sing-song voice made this book almost hard for me to finish. The opening paragraph suggested this to have been a book where Lottie might interact with the ghostly cats more, but she didn't. Not a book I'd recommend.

Dessert

I've had a heavy 'meal' lately consisting of police procedural, detective stories and mysteries so I thought it was time to make a change in my diet and read something light and entertaining. I chose a good book for dessert -the baker just can't seem to mind her own business and puts herself in harms way. Of course a marvelous hunk of a man comes along to help save her at just the right time.

Good Cozy Mystery

Lottie finds herself in humorous situations, which makes a delightful story to read. Has it all the paranormal, mayhem and murder for us, and a good beginning to the series. Given audio which was good for this type of story. For my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Highly Enjoyable Humorous Cozy

This is my first book by Addison and I absolutely loved it.

There was a splash of both romance and the paranormal, but this did not take away from the underlying mystery. In fact, they made the story come alive.

The narrator is perfect. From her perfect diction (character appropriate) to her male voices, the narrator was a joy to listen to. I thoroughly enjoyed the descriptive scenes and the way Karen narrated them.

Perfect listen for readers who love humorous cozy mysteries.
