Publisher's summary

He’s in love with me. The only problem? He thinks I’m someone else.

I’ve spent my whole life trying not to get bullied. For my frizzy hair. My freckles. The white patches on my Black skin or the gap in my teeth. Not to mention the extra hundred pounds I have on most of my classmates.

So when my soldier pen pal wants to see a picture of me, I freak. I send him a picture of one of the it girls at school and move on. The odds of us meeting in person are less than zero, and for once in my life, I want to know what it feels like to be one of the beautiful girls. Someone a guy like him would be into.

And it is amazing.... Until I start to feel more about him than just a pen pal should. He says he feels the same way, but when he wants to meet me, I have a huge problem.

How can I put my heart on the line when I can’t even show my face?

This curvy military romance is going to have you shaking your head one moment and wiping your eyes the next. Get ready to see what it means to face your biggest fears when your biggest fear is yourself.

I love the story line and the series is great.

The voices, what is this. The female voice isn’t bad just the background nose, and the man’s voice, CREEPY.

Awful narration!

The narrators are absolutely atrocious! And this is coming from someone who has used the voiceover/Siri feature to read kindle books out loud like audiobooks. It was soooooo hard to get through the book. The story was cute though. I loved the previous audiobooks but this was subpar by far. The author really should consider a redo on this one.

Enjoying the series until this book, the story is good but the narrators are awful.

Narrators made it hard to finish

I slowly got used to the young girl, but the male was so hard to listen to. He spoke so fast and was monotone. It was hard to imagine the character with his voice.
I finished listening but only because I was enjoying the story.

Cute story that is a nice change from the series

I liked that this was the transition between dating in high school and dating in college. I absolutely HATED the narrators. The female read very quickly, making it difficult to understand at times. However, I really liked her Apollo voice. She easily could have done the whole book. The narrator for Apollo was horrific and sounded like a robot, literally like a male Siri. I liked the story but wanted to rush through because I couldn’t stand actually listening to it

What happened

The narrators were awful, she sounded like a 12 year old.The clean crisp sound you got in the first 5 books with the Original curvy girls is lost with these. The story was good. The impact of the story is lost with bad narration.

Please Record Again

The story has been great. I was taken back by the female narrator, but grew to enjoy it. I just got to the male narrator and EW. Not the voice of Apollo I had in my head. Either he needs recast or the female should do the entire thing. He has no emotion in his voice and sounds robotic.

Narrators are Awful

The writer is amazing and I’ve read all the other books but the Narrators were so bad I had to skip this one.
