Welcome to Everlasting, Maine, where there's no such thing as normal.

Nicholas Logan is unlike any other man she’s ever had in her life. When someone starts sending her photographs that raise a red flag, it soon becomes apparent that she’s not just cursed. She’s in serious danger.

Nicholas doesn’t know what to make of the charismatic young woman managing the local coffee shop. Another Great Addition to the Series!

This is the sixth book in the The Happily Everlasting Series. The stories in the series are standalone, and interconnected. Marcy and Nicholas’s story is funny, entertaining, and intriguing. I liked the twists and turns, the mystery, and the romance. The supporting characters are great. Aunt Polly is a fantastic character! This is a great magical cozy mystery. BJ Harrison did an excellent job with the narration. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cute

This is such a cute, cozy paranormal mystery. I had so much fun listening to this audiobook. It was an engaging story with mystery, romance, humor, danger and so much more. Mercy has an interesting curse that has stuck for a while. Inreally loved the secondary characters of this story.

Liked it

Entertaining story with likable characters. The paranormal romantic mystery kept my wayward attention engaged. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. A good cozy story

I have found myself devouring cozy mysteries recently. Having listened to a couple of books by Michelle M Pillow and narrator B.J. Harrison I was looking forward to Curses & Cupcakes.

I found the story and narration entertaining
and easy to listen too. The voices were engaging and certainly brought the story to life.

Marcy Lewis managed the Witch's Brew Coffee Shop and Bakery (such a great name for a coffee shop).

She knows she is cursed so trying to date is a nightmare. However the newest addition to Everlasting, firefighter, Nicholas Logan is intrigued by Marcy.

When danger rears it’s head, it looks as though Marcy is the one in danger. Nicholas and Marcy join forces to investigate. What follows is a story filled with romance, mystery, humour, secrets and danger, with enough clues to keep you guessing.

Engagement Curse

Curses and Cupcakes is a cozy mystery with humor and romance. Marcy Lewis has been engaged 15 times but never been truly in love. Each time, she meets her new beau, she become everything that her current boyfriend wants in a woman. Her feeling is not reciprocated back to her by her boyfriend.

Marcy knew that she was cursed, literally. She couldn't talk to her boss or anyone, she knew about it, until Aunt Polly, who is a real witch.

Nicholas Logan came to Everlasting as a fire instructor. He is hoping for a long term position at the fire department. When Nicholas saw Marcy, he wanted to know more about Marcy except he has a secret of his own. Will Marcy stay or abandon him like his mother did?

Marcy doesn't want to know Nicholas, fearing that the curse will be invoked and that the relationship will run its course to another broken engagement. But her appearance never change since she met Nicholas. Could he truly be the one for her?

Aunt Polly is hilarious. I just love the dialogue when Marcy said "Curses" and Aunt Polly answered "Cupcakes". Although Aunt Polly may have her senior moments, Aunt Polly is quite shrew. Readers and listeners will recognize that Aunt Polly uses her senior moments just to throw people off as being an eccentric old woman.

I'm going back to the first book of the series just to know Aunt Polly a little bit more and what mischief she is going to create.

The narrator, B.J. Harrison did a great job with the characters. From Brian, an arrogant, robustness, probational fireman to Marcy's ex, Donny, the narrator gave each character, their unique recognizable voices. B.J. Harrison would be one of my favorite narrators.
