Blood is going to spill....

I just hope it won't be mine.

After two weeks of searching, I found the seven-year-old I'd been hired to find too late. His body broken and discarded. Dead.

My boss doesn't want me to hunt down his killers. It's too dangerous.

But the Pacific Northwest Pack steps in, hiring me to bring the bastards to justice.

Turns out the kid was half shifter. And shifters don't abandon their own.

In a search that takes me through the maze of shifter hierarchy and the depths of the paranormal underworld, these killers underestimate how determined I am to mete out their punishment. Vigilante justice is the only kind these people understand.

Yes, blood will spill. And I'm determined it will be theirs.

You'll love Cursed by Fire because its a fast-paced urban fantasy novel with a kick-butt heroine and unexpected twists around every corner.

good tale and narrator

Good story, interesting world. I like the main characters and groups of paranormal types. I do like the world chaos for humans and not so much for those who are not. Looking forward to book 2!

A great new series!

I really enjoyed this story! The characters were interesting and the storyline was solid. It’s a different take on the supernatural with a flare of “private investigator” that I have a preference for. It would be fascinating to see how this story develops further!

Great Series Starter

What an exiting start of series. I had a hard time putting this one down - I quickly became invested in the characters and needed to know what happened. It is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged from start to finish. The narration is on point in bringing the story and characters to life. I look forward to more in this series and from this author.

Fast paced , coffee loving heroine

Don't let the description dissuade you from purchasing this book. Yes, a child dies but it's not as emotionally draining as it normally would be. This book is fast paced and takes you to another world. The author has created a very unique place, where the government and police force have no handle on anything after the awakening. I am definitely excited to readthw 2nd book.

Too similar to Ilona Andrew and Nalini Singh

Superb performance by Ms. Poole but the story, Ugh. there's inspired and then there's just outright copying of elements from Kate Daniels and Nalini Singh's series. Sorry but nope, gonna request for a refund for this book.

Weak Imitation

I couldn't even get all the way through. By 80% I was just frustrated and wishing I hadn't spent my credit. It's a weak copy of other urban fantasy series and I'd much rather reread one of those than spend my time dealing with the dumb main character in this. I rarely DNF a book, but if this had been an actual paper book, I'd have thrown it out the window. The main character just does so many stupid things. She's supposed to be an experience mercenary, but there was no evidence of that in most of her actions. Just NO, Save your time and money.
