Interesting Vue of Angles & Unicorns

I really love the MC in this one her name is Tru. She is a Seventeen year old Hybrid 1/2 Unicorn 1/2 Vampire this is a mix that should not be able to exist.
Her whole life until now has a living Hell and she has hidden herself with the care of her grandfather. Narrator does a Wounderful job with the characters voices and Storyline.

Loved it

Loved it! So enjoyable. Good brain candy. I really enjoyed getting to read about a unicorn shifter, you hardly ever get to see that and it was brilliantly done.

I loved the unique characters!!

This was the first book/audiobook I have listened too from the author and narrator. I loved the badass heroine and the unique characters. Will definitely listen to more from them both!

Unique and Enjoyable

I really enjoyed the uniqueness of this book and all the quirky characters. The storyline is well written and kept me intrigued as to what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. This is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition.

Poppy Royana once again knocked it out of the park

Between the husband and the kid, I've had too many extra ears around to settle in with an audiobook as of late, so it's taken me some time to revisit Cursed Vampire. Having just spent the weekend finally enjoying the Tru's sass as the backdrop to my various tasks, I can confirm once again that Poppy Royana knocked it out of the park.

From the stress and heartbreak at the beginning of book to the colorful cast of characters littered throughout Tru's journey, I thought Poppy did a fantastic job of bringing this story and each of those voices fully to life. It isn't always as possible to lose yourself to an audiobook as you can to the page, but I've found it's all too easy to become completely enraptured by listening to this series.

Whether you're an avid reader or audiobook listener, I highly recommend every bit of this series.

Entertaining but not my Favorite

I enjoyed listening to this story, but that might be partially because Poppy Royana has such a great voice and slays the narration. Cursed Vampire is book 3 of Creatures of the Otherworld, a young adult, modern supernatural series. Like the other books, it has an overarching theme of young lady in trouble, guy saves girl, girl saves herself soft romance. Book 1 and 2 I adored; this addition didn’t quite meet my expectations.
I love powerful female leads, and Tru is definitely this, brave, independent, and physically strong. She, however, still manages to fall for douchbag Xander from their first encounter. At this time, he is arrogant, belittling, and tells her she is not to defend herself against physical attacks at work. When following his orders causes her to get hurt, he suddenly shows an interest—liability issues here? Of course, finding out she is more than a mere human is another game changer. Xander did eventually show a compassionate and protective nature towards Tru; however, his motivations were something that made him less than an ideal male (not so) romantic lead.
The endings have always been such a pinnacle in Brogan Thomas’ novels for me, but I guess she felt it was time to switch it up. This time the ending was inconclusive in the romance department and really in every other way. This story was ok, an easy and fast listen, but definitely not my favorite in the series. Regardless, I’ll still continue listening to Thomas’ other stories, not just because I love the narrator, but because I love the supernatural universe the author creates.

Such a great listen

Another great addition to add to the creatures of the otherworld. I was so excited to start this new book. It does not disappoint. The narrator brings everything together.

Wow! Again with another amazing story of a fierce young woman overcoming horrible life situations and threats and helping others.
I loved it.

Reread-
Tru is such an amazing female, she is fierce and protective, she is full of sass and snark, a bit of rage and compassion.
She is stuck in the middle of a turf war, except that turf is her, and she isn’t having it. She is no damsel in distress, she is her own hero. She is full of tenacity, & ingenuity. She has no problem shaking things up and doing what’s right.

New, creative, interesting

Great story! Very creative characters and interesting point of view through Tru’s eyes.
Really enjoying this author stepping outside the box from “typical” supernatural/witchy stories as “predictable” and “safe” is becoming a boring genre.

I really enjoyed Tru’s story (I’d only read Tru’s other 2 stories previously.)

Hoping to see more of her in the future-future.

Fun Read

This was such a fun read. Just like her other books this one sucks you in and keeps you entertained. Has lots of Witty banter, bad as characters, and a great storyline. I highly recommend.
