Publisher's summary

Since she was eight years old, Lilly Rayne Nightingale felt like Fate was trying to wipe away her existence through a series of odd, near fatal incidences. Luckily, her best friend Will was always one step ahead of Fate preventing her from being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Will was her knight in shining armor until he broke her heart after their one and only kiss.

On Lilly's first day of college, she meets Brand Cole. Intrigued by Brand, Lilly must decide whether or not she can give up her adolescent fantasy of being reunited with Will and allow Brand the opportunity to conqueror her heart.

Not only do Will and Brand both love Lilly, they share a dark secret neither wants Lilly to discover. Lilly thinks Fate is after her once again when a new series of attempts on her life start to take place, but she soon learns someone of flesh and blood is trying to kill her this time.

Another good YA Paranormal

I really liked this beginning book of a series. I'm just sorry Audible doesn't have the next ones. I have already bought the Kindle versions to read. After this series there are the watcher chronicles and then Callyins ( not sure of spelling) story and then the redemption series which starts with a book about Malcom who is an ancillary character in this series. I will admit this reminds me of a previous series I listened to by Amy Bartol which I loved. I am game to delve into this one also. I thought the narrator was great. I have said this before, but I think the best writing right now is in the YA genre-- so all of us old fogies are reading it too!

Loved it

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved this book. I just wish they would get book 2 and 3 of the trilogy in audio as well.

Such a great narrative of a fantastic book@

I love the Cursed Trilogy such a fun read! The narrator slipped between voices and and accents so well it seemed effortless. Such a fantastic performance. I can't say read because it really was a performance.

Mixed feelings

Liked it but at the same time it was really confusing . I mean one min she's pinning for will and then brand but she isn't sure if her feelings for brand out weigh and then it's never understood why Will walked away....

Great story but...

The storyline is excellent. However, the narrator is not good at all. Maybe in a different story the narrator would be great. But in this story, it was very hard for me to keep interested in it.

Elements of Greatness but Overall falls flat

The story is fun but I was not fond of the narration and I wonder if Lily's character was more irritating than it might have been with a less cheesy narration - found Lily an irritating self centred drama queen always stumbling into danger with a ridiculous frequency - 4 stars as I plan to continue the trilogy despite the narration and character flaws

I'm glad I finally got around to reading this…

I started reading the WATCHER books with The Watcher Chronicles and I was already most of the way through the third book in that series before I figured out that this series existed. I always prefer to read related books in chronological reading order, so my discovery almost made me stop where I was and start reading this series. That conflict raged for a few days but in the meantime I kept reading The Watcher Chronicles and eventually decided that I would just skip these and maybe come back and read them at the end. I continued thinking this until I finished The Redemption Series. That series was chocked full of so much emotion that I decided I couldn't continue until I gave myself somewhat of a break, so that's why I finally came back to read these. I must say that I am enjoying a return to a time set closer to the one I currently live in, and I am loving my trip through Brand and Lily's story. Enjoy!

Juvenile in the worst way

I tried to like this one. I stuck with it longer than I should have. I was curious where it was going. But, the writing was just terrible. The narration made it even worse.

Amazing book! Beautifully read! Exciting plot!

The story was complex and yet did not drag on unnecessarily. The reader did a fantastic job, reading with inflection in her voice!

Can someone say amazing!

Would you consider the audio edition of Cursed to be better than the print version?

Honestly, I love to read the print version of a book before I listen to the audio version of it. I like to have a feel of the characters on my own. It's more personal in a way. After I have read the book, I love listening to the audiobook while I cook, clean, shower, just about anything, really.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cursed?

I loved when Lilly first met Malcolm. I love when Tara gets sassy. And I love when Brand mans up and realizes that Lilly and him belong together and that they need each other.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Lilly learns what Brand is and who Will really is.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it sure is.

Any additional comments?

I love SJ West's books, all of them. Cursed introduced me into a world of so much love and understanding. It's how I picture my child's life to be as she grows older and experiences these things for herself. It's a beautiful place that I like to get lost in from time to time.
