Totally Opposites Attract

Colt is a do-gooder plastic surgeon who notices Ember Greene has been barely living over the past several years and has been having random hookups. He asks her out on a date where he challenges her to date him for a month during which he will show her how a “good man” should treat her. If you like a man who is both parts alpha and gentle, then you will love Colt, and his connection with Ember. Colt and Ember do not struggle too much with each other, so their relationship is able to blossom easily. For the most part, this book, given its subject matter, is sweet. I liked this relationship, and I knew a HEA was in line for Colt and Ember. It is very captivating from first 10 minuets to last hour of the book. The characters are like able and well described. Stacy Eaton writing style and story telling engaging. The author did a good job developing the characters and keeping the story interesting. It was a really good audio book.

Loved every second of this book. I also really enjoyed the dual narrators for men and women.

I wasn’t sure I liked the narrators but I pushed on, and got use to them. The story line made up for it! I will definitely share this book title with my friends

Amazing story

Ember and Colt was an exciting and wonderful love story. Full of laughter and tears, loved the narrators and the story line, I definitely commend reading or listening to this amazing story. It will have you hanging on every word.

The dating-only challenge

Plastic surgeon, Colt Barnes, is hanging out with friends at the local bar when he spies a young woman that catches his eye. When she leaves with a random guy, Colt follows her and realizes that she was just hooking up. Days later, Colt runs into her and proposes a challenge...he wants her to spend some time finding meaning in life, dates only w/o sex. Ember Greene has been barely living over the past several years and has been having random hookups. Then she runs into the handsome man from the bar. Since she was having a bad couple of days, Ember doesn’t run when Colt challenges her to value herself more highly. Even though the pair are dating, Ember is insecure about herself and Colt’s friends are questioning his motives. Can the thin bond of a relationship survive miscommunication, mistrust and a jealous woman?
Enjoyable story with great narration. Looking forward to the next book.

Deep!

The push and pull of the love was actually well balanced. They really felt each other’s pain. I loved the chemistry between the characters.
These narrators were new to me but I liked them I’d like to hear more❤️

Loved this start to this series. Can't wait to hear the next. It was touching, battling demons and breaking down walls. The story and the characters are great. The characters are strong and well thought out. Great listen. I recommend it to all. I received it as a gift and this is my voluntary review.

Phenomenal story

Cured is a beautifully-composed and captivating story about the capacity to love and to heal what's been broken. The storyline is character-focused, and Stacy Eaton has done a phenomenal job in their development. Ember and Colt, are utterly genuine, multi-faceted with emotional depth, and the capacity for growth. The secondary characters are a great addition, creating elements of drama, particularly within the family.

Moreover, the premise of how some deal with emotional pain and the all-powerful guild is brilliantly depicted. Ember's method is to shut the door to her heart and throw away the key. When Cold sees her bouncing from one random man to another, his natural inclination to fix and heal leads him to challenge Ember. The outcome is unexpected for both; forming a connection that is authentic, powerful, passionate, and sensual. Together they define the potential of real human connection through love, understanding, trust, and ultimately, healing.

Stellar performances by Jack Ares and Sophia Laroche. Both narrators honed in on the characters, channelling their personalities and emotions, bringing the entirety of the story to life for the listener.

Cured is wonderfully written with an incredible storyline and characters, one I strongly recommend. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and my unbiased review is voluntarily given.

Emotional

I enjoyed listening to both Jack Ares and Sophia Laroche, wonderful narrators

This is a emotional and heartbreaking love story , between Colt and Ember. Colt wants to be the man, who shows Ember , she is worth more , than one night stands . I loved this book from the start and was going from one emotion. Pain , love , secrets , understanding. Brilliantly written and so loved listening .

So much to this book

This book is not for the faint of heart. Lots of emotion. It’s written very well and a great performance from both Sophia and Jack.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

I throughly enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored both leads, my heart went out to Ember, you could tell she was hiding her inner demons and they were holding her back from enjoying life and moving forward. Colt Barnes was a true hero, he saw something in her the minute he laid eyes on her. They were two people from different worlds who clicked, Colt had his work cut out for him because Ember thought he was out of her league, she also had self worth issues. Sick of living a life of weekly one night stands she takes Colt up on the challenge he presented her with, a challenge that will change both of their lives. I loved his patience with her, how he was getting through to her. I also loved how everything played out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and flows naturally. There is never a dull moment and there is plenty of drama, some angst, twists, heartfelt moments and some great romance. Stacy Eaton, thank you for the wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Jack Ares and Sophia Laroche are terrific narrators and voice artists. They did a great job portraying the characters and bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured and projected the characters emotions it into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Cured is the beautiful love story of Colt and Ember. It is sweet, emotional and heartbreaking. Ember has just been going through the motions of living for the last few years. Colt is hoping to be the man who can make her see that she deserves a life worth living. If you like a book that brings you on an emotional rollercoaster, then you'll love this book. Jack Ares and Sophia Laroche both did an excellent job bringing this story to life with their flawless duet narration. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Love cures all

What a great romance read / listen. I really loved the characters - Ember (great name by the way) is so tragically broken and we see that from the very beginning. Colt (again a great name) is a Dr so I think it's in his nature to "fix" things. Both of these characters have issues to resolve but love will cure them both! Well written with great flawed characters that come together for a beautiful HEA. The twists and turmoil they go thru to get there comes across realistic, most people at some point in their lives have has to face at least one of the obstacles they face. The narration was good but not great for me. I did really like the dual narration. Good storyline and flow through out and I'm looking forward to listening to more from Eaton!

Feel good romance!

I know when I begin a Stacy Eaton book, I am in for a treat. Each one of her stories includes a realistic couple that makes it so easy to understand and relate, it makes the book more enjoyable. This one features a broken woman, Ember. She uses sex as her escape from a painful past. When Colt, a plastic surgeon takes an interest in her for the woman she is, she is taken back. Colt is at a point in his life that he wants to find the one. He just wasn't aware it would be a glance in a bar that brought him Ember. Now these two have a lot to go over. Obstacles, hurts, and family all play a role in this event of healing. I found this story extremely refreshing. It's a pleasure to have a man see through the facade to the real woman. Eaton even adds some real life family drama with the addition of Colt's mother. It's a fun listen with a great message.

The narration by Jack Ares and Sophia Laroche brings this story to life. Both are new to me and I enjoyed their duet style, the pacing and their voices. It is a listen to enjoy.
