This book was right there up in your face with Ross careless action, and every thing he lost . Stormy/Lane seem for some reason attached to Ross and the stronger of the two. This book was built upon the previous ones in the series. The relationship takes a surprising turn into DD battles and surrender

Ross and Stormy

This was so good. This was a great emotional journey. The storyline is captivating and I enjoyed it. The characters Stormy and Ross had many deficiencies but became stronger and better together. There story was inspiring and enjoyable. The narration was spot on.

Finding his place

Ross was spinning. Spinning lies and in his life and he was unable to hold it all together.
When everything comes to a head, he has no choice but to retreat.
But, in doing so he gains a Sir, even as he is dealing with loss and change.

Lane is a total surprise in this story and just what Ross needed to start afresh. A perfect Dom who knew just what his boy needed.

The kink in this one is an interesting one that suited this couple well. I did think Ross's character changed from how he was perceived from the previous books, but overall it was a good story.

The narration was done well and each character was clear and well differentiated.
The narrators tone though was hard for me to connect with.

surprises and role reversal

When Ross puked on the pushy reporter, I couldn't stop laughing. I loved it. I liked the respect and acceptance Ross had for Stormy regardless of his profession/career choices. I love how the authors did a complete and unexpected 180 with these two characters. It added depth and new dynamics; I enjoyed delving into . Kudos guys! This is a unique and unpredictable joy, and I was captive. The King's and other NG characters were a pleasant bonus. I believe some of the lower star ratings are due to reader expectations and not actual content and storyline. They expected predictable, but got much more. This exceeded my expectations.
I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

loved it!!

I had originally read the whole City Hall series and this one threw me for a loop, but loved the audio version so much better! I had trouble with Ross being the submissive. He was so arrogant in the first two stories. He’s lost everything. I struggled to like him. I really liked Stormy, and as a Dom, Barney Parkwynne did a good job as the narrator.

When Private Moments Go Public! Uh! Oh!

Ross Midberry’s fall from grace was epic. Lane Kennedy, known professionally as “Stormy” was there with Ross, and now he’s one of the very few there for Ross. Cuffed is a hot, naughty, headphones required, MM romance that brings laughter and more than a few surprises. The story is brilliantly written, with easy flowing, realistic dialogue, and is filled with rich well drawn characters. The narration that brings this story to life is fabulous! I have to confess, I throughly enjoyed every single second! Five well deserved stars!

Domestic Discipline

I enjoyed this book even though at times I wanted to both hug and slap Ross. I loved how both Ross and Lane protected each other. This book is a journey and while it can be read / listened to as a stand alone it is best enjoyed as part of the City Hall Series

Wow!

I have never heard of this trope, but it was definitely interesting to listen to! I loved the storyline, back story, and the characters. The writing always makes me look at things differently. Narration is spot on!!

Not What I Expected/Pleasant Surprise

So I always love when a story can surprise me. Cuffed is no different. Without giving too much away I just want to say that traditional roles do not always have to be followed. Sometimes major events cause shifts in personality or expectation or sometimes we are just different people behind closed doors. My opinion of Ross changed drastically as the story went (for the better) and I loved Lane from the start and he just got better. I loved how the authors always made it clear how much the characters respected each other throughout the story because respect in a power dynamic, whether that be in a professional sense or in a sexual relationship, is so important. Also domestic discipline is something I enjoy reading about so I was happy to have it here.

Audio specifically: I did have to adjust the speed with this narrator to a 1.2x and that helped the pacing for me some. That is a personal preference though. I loved the voice for Lane and the intensity that was brought to the characters, but I was not the biggest fan of Ross' voice (again personal preference). I am always happy to try new narrators and this is my second book with Barney Parkwyne. I would listen to more in the future.

I loved this book. Barney Parkwynne really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Ross Midberry lost it all for a moment of pleasure with Stormy (Lane Kennedy) in the stairwell of city hall. Ross serves prison time but when he gets out he has no where to go or so he thought. Lane ( Stormy) takes him in. It wasn't supposed to turn into a relationship but Lane finds himself wanting to care for Ross. With Lane's help will they both find love together even as Ross' world seems to be crumbling around him?
