I fetching loved it. I love a good mob story but I very rarely am impressed by them and Crow was perfection. I had to pause the book a couple times because of life and I spent that time counting down until I could turn it back on.

Lachlan is mob. Mackenzie is a southie that is looking to find her best friend that is like a sister to her. She is a freakin tough girl with no family left and nothing to really lose. She gets herself mixed up in Lachlan's world trying to find out what happened to her friend and ends up falling in love with Lachlan.

Lachlan is a detached mobster that is not used to feeling. He was completely caught off guard when Mackenzie entered his life and when he finds out she has been lying to him, the action picks up and you aren't sure if he will be able to forgive her. I love his character. The way he says he's "mad" for Mackenzie and calls her his "sweetheart" in that Irish accent is adorable. But that is where the adorableness ends and the smolder begins because this is a hot romance read as well.

Tracy Marks is a new narrator for me and she rocked it. I loved every word.

Edgy, fierce, twisted

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This story kept me guessing. Is it all an act does he know what she's doing does she know what she's feeling who is the trader. At every turn this story lets you think you know what will happen next but then you are pleasantly wrong. This book has it all, angst, action, mystery, hot strong Hero, strong smart heroine, and friendship that knows no bounds. I gave this book five stars for so many reasons. The writing is spectacular, the characters are relatable, and most of all you're hooked from the very start.

Which character – as performed by Tracy Marks – was your favorite?

Never before have I listened to a book where the narrator used a Boston accent that didn't make me wince. This was very different Tracy nailed the Boston accent without a doubt. Her performance was flawlessly executed. Tracy draws you into the story and makes you picture it as if it's all playing out right there in front of you. What a remarkable job I simply applaud this performance.

5 Freaking Stars!!

I've never read a mafia book nor have read a book from this author! But I can tell you now the in a fan of A. Zaverelli and I will seek her out anywhere I can. As I started this audio I was skeptical in the beginning with the narrators accent but once I got past the first 20 or so minutes I found she had the perfect voice to describe both Mac & Lachlan! Narrator gets 5*'s. Some people may have a problem w/incidents that happen in this book but I'm one of those people who understands that this is a BOOK and can enjoy all types of genre. I can tell you that I did use all my emotions while listening to this audio-fear, exasperation, happiness, sorrow, and yes some sadness!! I'd say "yes" it's worth a credit!! I'm also so happy that I was fortunate enough to receive a gift of this audio for my honest opinion and honest it is!! Now on to see what else this author has.....

Love me some Lock

I have never read/listened to a book like this before, & it surely won't be my last. I fell in love with Lockland pretty much from the beginning. The relationship development between MacKenzie & him pulled me right in. I went in blind to this story & I highly recommend you doing it as well. I never knew what was going to happen next & I love that! The narrator was awesome. I loved all the different accents. I think everyone should listen to this!! Definitely one of my top favorites so far this year.

Great series.

I enjoyed all three books in this series. I read them out of order, which was no big deal. They overlap a bit, so in places it was fun knowing more about what was *also* going on in a scene.

Flow, narration, story, characters--all very good.

I absolutely love mobster stories! I find myself replaying this book over and over again. Mak is my favorite...and I love the narrator.

The narrator did an excellent job with male voices and accents . I was able to believe the masculine voice.

Yes I would because she just bought the book and I told her the audio is way better with the book.

Lachlan as in Lach he 8s sexy and dominant and dangerous in all his glory.

She just bring this book to life with her voice and I love it

I was absolutely intrigued throughout the whole book! It was exciting, dangerous, with lots of twists! I love Lach, his character was very good! And the cliffhanger/start of another book ending was awesome!❤
