a boring and superficial book about CT

This book comes up with very vague and general ideas you may already know even from your high school time (or rather middle school). 4 out of 8 chapters are about telling you how important it is for everyone to be critical thinkers in order to be successful. The book doesn't provide any real life examples on how to apply critical thinking to solve any kind of issue, it doesn't mention logical fallacies, evenworse it doesn't even mention any famous critical thinkers to learn about.
My critical thinker Inside me tried to warn me about this audiobook after knowing it's just 1hour audio in length. that's way to short for this kind of subject .
I'm guilty on choosing this book over Steven Novella's Your Deceptive Mind (which is a 14hour audiobook) because of my laziness. I don't reccomend this book at all, you might better try Critical Thinking for Dummies instead.

Who wrote these 5* reviews?

Whoever they are, surely they weren't listening to the same book as me?

I decided that I would go for one of the short titles. Maybe an hour or two, because I am getting tired of books that take 6-10 hours to draw out what could have been said in much less time. Bad Idea. This book follows that trend and therefore has very little redeeming content.
Honestly, I would have settled for a good fundamentals recap, but I wouldn't even say that this was a good 101 book. Sorry.

Author nailed it....

It's a good reference for those who need to increase their critical thinking/reading skills. The author tricks you a few places in order to teach you things you may not already know.
