Ellen Anderson’s Clean and Wholesome novelette American Mail Order Bride Historical Western box set romance series is enjoyable for all ages.

The title is not even close

The stories would be okay if the writers had not put the setting in Cripple Creek Colorado. “Right about what you know”.
The authors did not do their homework. Historically Cripple Creek is a mining town and rich with stories. It is absolutely not a farming town.
Also the AI narration is awful.
If you know nothing about Cripple Creek, Co you will likely enjoy the stories.
The only reason I chose these books is because I know and love Cripple Creek Colorado. I was very disappointed.

Cripple Creek, Colorado?

These books in no way historical fiction since it is mainly about farmers and ranchers. C. C. (a gold mining town) has an elevation of 9,500' which would make these professions virtuatlly impossible.
Still, the stories are amusing.

Still good

This set is just as good as the first set in the series. Looking forward to the last set. And I think the virtual reader has improved. It does more inflection in the words. It’s not as flat as it used to be. But I do listen at 1.2x speed. I find that increasing the speed covers the robotic-ness.

Loved the inter woven stories

This box set was a heart felt clean romance story. I did not like the infection of AI reading it tho.
