Publisher's Summary

"An incredible story-teller." - The Los Angeles Daily News

It's a happy time for Sloan Trent and Jane Everett. What could be happier than the event of their wedding? Their Krewe friends will all be there and the event will take place in a medieval castle transported brick by brick to the New England coast. Everyone is festive and thrilled...until the priest turns up dead just hours before the nuptials.

Jane and Sloan must find the truth behind the man and the murder - the secrets of the living and the dead - before they find themselves bound for eternity - not in wedded bliss but in the darkness of an historical wrong and their own brutal deaths.

Crimson Twilight 11.5

I’ve been reading the Krewe of Hunters in order and have so enjoyed all of them so very much. I even liked this book with the exception of the Narrator and I found him to be a bit boring compared to Luke Daniels. Mr. Daniels has a way of giving life to all the different people in Heather Graham’s books and it makes her books so much more interesting to listen too.

Narrator is Distracting from the Story

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend reading the book. The performance of the narrator is distracting.

What did you like best about this story?

The plot sounded interesting for a Novella.

Did Paul Boehmer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

No. I couldn't tell who was who if I wasn't paying attention to the story. He also does a very distracting deep breath and really announcing, "Kelsey said." "Sloan said." So and so asked." I personally feel if he could do voice differentiation he wouldn't need to read that and distract the listener.

Do you think Crimson Twilight needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Maybe in print but not audio if they have the same narrator.

Any additional comments?

I recommend them redoing this book with a new narrator. I had to give up listening to this.

Not Her Best Work

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I wouldn't read it again. Not absolutely horrid, but I didn't enjoy this work as much as many of her others.

Love Heather Graham's books

Another great book to listen to. The narrator was great with changing the tone of his voice with each character. Will be getting more books

Story is good; reader is so-so

I like the Krewe of Hunters series, even if the newer ones are becoming very formulaic and repetitive but this novella was pretty good because it featured established characters. There was none of that "falling in love in a few days" that is a hallmark of the series. The suspense is good; I didn't figure out the bad guy until the reveal. My main problem is with the reader Paul Boehmer. His style of reading can be very stilted at times; his phrasing is herky-jerky, if you will. I caught myself rolling my eyes quite a lot at the way he read certain passages. Luke Daniels, who has read a number of Krewe of Hunters novels, this Boehmer guy is not. Otherwise, it's a good story. Heather Graham is a really good writer and her work is engaging.

Book 10.5.

What would spoil your wedding day? Jane and Slone have chosen a magical castle setting only to have the vicar fall to his death on the main staircase and the ghost of a previous occupier being blamed..

The Krewe of Hunters spring into action to solve the mystery.

What s shame about the narration! Slow, unanimated ànd really annoying!
