Greed Took Over....
I used to really enjoy these podcasts. But over time, the analysis became more and more superficial, the tone became more cutesy, and the commercials and sales of "merch" became dominant. They start with promotions, interrupt the story frequently to keep you listening through more commercials, and then finish with even more commercials, in case you missed them! It didn't help when I began reading MANY reviews and articles accusing the hosts of "stealing" their research without attribution. I stopped listening about 6 months ago and have never missed them . . .or their merch.

Just terrible
I couldn’t finish the first story. The hosts have a giddy and unprofessional (e.g., lots of “likes) tone that seems inappropriate and irreverent to the topic. The advertising of their “merch” before telling the first story just seemed so distasteful. They also conversationally interject irrelevant side notes during the telling of the story. It seems they just like to hear themselves talk. This style definitely was not for me.

Plagiarism - Cannot Fake Care or Surprise
I cannot believe that audible has rewarded this fake, scripted show that was proven to have blatantly committed plagiarism, did not site their sources, and then when called out, STILL did not go back and give credit where credit was due. Audible, you should be ashamed to let this be available on your site while they are making tons of money on the hard, long work of others. Do not follow these women who are fake and cannot even act their way out of a wet paper bag as the tell the scripted story each episode. If you need me to site my sources, I will be happy to do so. I, unlike this show, have morals.

Cringy.
There is a level of giddy unprofessionalism by the hosts that I overlooked through many episodes. I was under the impression that the MO of the creators was to bring new life into cold cases. It became clear that wasn’t the case when the ending of one episode was that the killer was caught. I couldn’t overlook that. It made the entire episode feel sleazy and gratuitous. As if story telling was more important than the family and friends of the victim. They giggle and gossip while telling the story of so many people’s worst day imaginable. This podcast might be for some, but I would not want these hosts covering a story about me or a loved one.

Not for me.
It is very unprofessional and unethical to use a person's hard work as your own.

why must everyone get political?
I was really enjoying your podcasts until you had to get political and start talking about BLM. Now I am done. Too bad…

One of my favorites!
I love this podcast, I've listened to it on multiple platforms (mainly Spotify and Google Podcasts) and try to leave a good review on all of them. They go into a lot of detail and try to give multiple angles to each case. Great for my commute into work!

Love it!
Crime Junkie is one of my favorite True Crime podcasts!
Ashley and Brit know very well how to setup the environment for the podcast, and they talk about lots of cases that don't get a lot of attention in other podcasts.

Used to enjoy but...
There are many problems with this podcast, from over promoting expensive merch (ok stuff but not worth the cost, bought some before I quit listening), irreverent tone, to the worst straight up stealing other people's shows almost word for word. If you want a good podcast, look up the ones they took their episodes from. I recommend Once Upon a Crime.
