Publisher's summary

A brilliant research scientist, William Mears, is working on his thesis to receive his doctorate from the University of Southern California. The focus of his dissertation is to discover how to repair injuries to the human body that are considered to be irreparable leveraging adult stem cells. After many failures, he comes to the conclusion that the only way to truly repair these tissues is through the use of embryonic stem cells (ESCs). But these cells can't come from just any source - they need to be ESCs from the specific individual in need of healing. In other words, William needs to figure out a way to create a human embryonic clone.

While William's intent is innocent and focused on the betterment of mankind, he has unknowingly opened up the door to a malevolent evil that reveals itself in ever increasing dreadful ways.

Creation Abomination explores human ethical dilemmas in a fast-paced, high-tech story involving ingenious scientists, complex relationships, and the battle between good and evil, bringing together realistic scenarios with the supernatural.

A really good start to a series

I did enjoy this book and think it is a great beginning to what seems to be a well done series. I had a bit of trouble with the narrator and how fast he spoke at first, giving me some anxiety, but once I got into the book it didn't seem to be as bad. The only other complaint is the audible hiss in the recording, especially during the female narrator's readings. It was a bit distracting how the hiss would cut in and out when she would stop and start reading... but this could be the sound engineer in me showing though.

Over all a good book that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys science fiction!!

Once it gets started hang on for a great ride!

Hang on until at least the 7th chapter where things start hopping... you'll be glad you did. Thompson weaves a riveting story of a altruistic scientist who develops an amazing technology to bless mankind, then watches in horror as dark forces twist it around for what purpose, only the devil himself knows. Will the scientist be able to stop Armageddon? A real page turner.

Good Read!

This book was so good! It took me a minute to get into it and the narration wasn’t the best I’ve heard, but overall the book was well worth the read! Once I really got into the story, I always looked forward to the next time I could pick it up.

Enjoyed it!

Creation Abomination has a good blend of science and religion. It's entertaining without getting heavy into either and still brings up valid points to consider which support and defeat both. Looking forward to the next book.
The narrator sounded young and read a bit too fast, I actually adjusted the speed.

Loved how the voice actors brought the story to life, and had personality as well. Loved being able to listen to this throughout the day and looking forward to book 2!

Unique Story!

Interesting story line weaving science and religion. There were many times I thought the story was going in one direction then was surprised at the twists and turns. The level of detail in the science lab was great and showed a lot of research went into this story. My opinion of the narration is that the speed was nice (I like a fast pace), however there were a few times the volume level between the two narrators was different during back and forth dialogue sections. Overall great book!
