Publisher's Summary

Jamie

It’s not exactly what I’d call the ideal situation - being introduced to your bio-dad’s best mate only to realize he’s the sexy older guy you hooked up with a couple of weeks ago - but it’s also not the worst thing to ever happen in history. The way I see it, this is fate. The universe is throwing Shay Kelly in my path again because it knows how much I’ve been dying for another shag with him.

I have four weeks before I need to go back to London, and I know exactly how I’d like to spend that time. And fortunately for me, Shay’s just as keen for a repeat or ten as I am.

All we need is a few ground rules to keep this little fling in check…

Rule One: It’s temporary

Makes sense - neither of us do the long-term bit. And it’s not like we can continue with this once I move back to London.

Rule Two: No dates, just sex

Easy peasy - sex is the best part of dating anyway.

Rule Three: We keep it between us

Perfect - sneaking around and concocting elaborate lies is a right turn on.

Rule Four: No falling in love

Love? Me? In four weeks? There’s a better chance of me inventing the solution to climate change.

Warning: This book is not appropriate for anyone who doesn’t like laughing, anyone who doesn’t like British slang, and anyone who doesn’t like smokin’ hot older guys and sexy red-haired twinks having lots of sex and trying not to fall in love.

Excellent story good narration

Isla Olsen’s stories are fun, sweet, and hilarious. This one is no exception.

Joel Leslie is stellar as usual. The only place this audiobook falls down is with Michael Dean’s narration. His accents are atrocious, and he over emotes all over the place.

If you have extra time listen to this for Joel’s performance. Otherwise read the book.

Super fun and flirty! Explosive audio chemistry!

Fun, flirty, and fabulous! One of those books that just sucks you in from the beginning, first with the familiarity of the characters, then with the ridiculous and funny storyline, and with the pace of the book that makes you want to know what comes next, so much that you don’t want to put it down! Jamie and Shay have a fun no strings attached long term hookup. Olsen keeps them both true to their characters- no angst, no secret feelings, no wishing things could be different. In this way, this story is quite refreshing (and I imagine hard to write a romance book with a seeming lack of actual romance). There is, of course, a happily ever after written in a very believable way. Two of my favorite narrators join up to produce this gem. Each bringing their own fantastic acting skills into the recording booth to make this an explosive audiobook!

Love this series

Loved it except I could’ve done without Michael. It’sa good book but it’s torture listening Michael and Joel together. It’s like putting jam and pickles together.. not a great combo. Joel brought this series to life, why mess with that? Please don’t change narrators or in strait I’ll have drop the series and that would suck

Fun & Sassy! 3.5 Stars!

This was a short, sexy read! Double POV.

Hot sex
Age gap
From hook-up to lurve
Tons of family (which gets confusing, TBH)
Snark
Karaoke
And edibles!

There were a couple of continuity issues for me & I found my self rewinding/paging back to look for info I though I missed only to find it didn’t exist 🤷🏻‍♀️

Audiobook: Double narration by Joel Leslie & Michael Dean. Things I learned about Michael Dean: HE CANNOT DO AN ENGLISH ACCENT. Thank the gods JL carried the English narration—he was AMAZING! Unfortunately, MD had a weird Irish/English/Something accent that constantly changed. Ignore this and you’ll be fine.

My rec? It was fun 😉

So good!

Funny and fun. I only wish it was longer! I loved that the characters did not spend half the book internally debating their feelings, which happens so often in these types of books. So refreshing. I wish it had been a single narrator though. I love both of these narrators but I just didn’t like Michael Dean’s voice for Jamie. It didn’t fit his snarky personality. The two British accents were so different it was a bit jarring.
